Abstract

Un proceso para la producción de amoníaco y un derivado de amoníaco a partir de una alimentación de gas natural que comprende la conversión del gas natural en un gas de síntesis de reposición; la síntesis de amoníaco; el uso del amoníaco para producir el derivado de amoníaco, donde se usa parte de la alimentación de gas natural para alimentar una turbina de gas; la energía que produce la turbina de gas se transfiere a al menos un consumidor de energía del proceso, tal como un compresor; se recupera calor del gas de escape de la turbina de gas, y se recupera al menos parte del calor como un calor de grado bajo disponible a una temperatura no mayor que 200 °C, para proveer el calor del proceso a al menos un consumidor térmico del proceso, tal como una unidad de eliminación de CO2 o un enfriador por absorción.
