Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un aparato que incluye una fuente de luz provista para el tratamiento intracraneal de una región del tejido del cerebro de un paciente. El aparato de tratamiento intracraneal comprende un eje externo que tiene un extremo proximal y un extremo distal para la colocación dentro de la región del tejido del cerebro. El eje externo define un lumen que se extiende entre el extremo proximal y el extremo distal del eje externo y que tiene al menos una abertura adyacente al extremo distal del eje externo.
