Abstract
Se describe un dispositivo personal de monitoreo de función pulmonar capaz de un análisis de aliento exhalado. El dispositivo personal de monitoreo de función pulmonar incluye un dispositivo medidor corporal y un microcontrolador. Este dispositivo medidor corporal además incluye una cámara de flujo configurada para recibir un flujo de aliento exhalado de un paciente/usuario, y un conjunto de sensores integrados con la cámara de flujo. El conjunto de sensores puede utilizarse para medir un conjunto de propiedades del aliento exhalado, lo cual puede incluir uno o más parámetros comunes de función pulmonar y/o uno o más biomarcadores del aliento exhalado. El microcontrolador se acopla al dispositivo medidor corporal y se configura para recibir señales de sensores analógicas del conjunto de sensores y transmitir las señales de sensores digitalizadas a un dispositivo móvil, por ejemplo, a través de una conexión USB. En una modalidad, el dispositivo personal de monitoreo de función pulmonar combina mediciones de flujo espiratorio máximo, espirometría y biomarcadores de aliento exhalado en un solo dispositivo.
