Abstract
Se describe un sensor de fluido para utilizarse dentro del tracto intestinal de un ser humano. El sensor incluye una bobina sensora que es sumergible en el fluido de muestra del tracto gastrointestinal; un generador de señal en comunicación eléctrica con la bobina sensora para aplicar un pulso de corriente eléctrica a la bobina sensora; un receptor de señal en comunicación con la bobina sensora para medir una reflexión eléctrica en relación al pulso de corriente eléctrica; y un procesador de datos para recibir la reflexión eléctrica y para calcular datos representativos de por lo menos una propiedad, tal como pH del fluido de muestra con base en la reflexión eléctrica. El sensor de fluido también puede incluir una bobina de referencia para calibrar la bobina sensora. La bobina sensora y bobina de referencia pueden ser encapsuladas en una cubierta de píldora tragable. La bobina sensora también funciona como una antena para transmitir y recibir señales a/desde una ubicación lejana.
