Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroetano por fluoración de 1,1,1-trifluorocloroetano, el proceso está caracterizado porque: se pone en contacto en fase gaseosa desde aproximadamente 300 hasta 500 grados C, el 1,1,1-trifluorocloroetano con HF y un catalizador que comprende por lo menos un metal, el metal se selecciona del grupo constituído por cobalto, manganeso, níquel, paladio, plata y/o rutenio sobre fluoruro de aluminio, el contacto ocurre en la presencia de oxígeno, el contacto minimiza la oxidación de cloruro de hidrógeno liberado a cloro y agua y produce una corriente del producto que contiene 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroetano y, enseguida, se separa el 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroetano de la corriente del producto.
