COMMENTS

a(3) = 3583008, the old value 3473184 is improper due to reason the number is out of bounds MinMax range for full houses [3541824, 4047264] > 3473184. The author of original paper have cutoff 1/2 of full house combinations like XXXYYYZ. - Andrey Vetrov, May 21 2019

Andrew Howroyd: I think the original value is correct. (perhaps I am making a mistake, but I'll present my reasoning). There are three possibilities: a) [3,2,1,1] b) [3,2,2] c) [3,3,1] where the notation [3,2,2] means 1 triple + 2 pairs. The sums for each of these are a) 13*12*11*10*4*6*4*4/2 b) 13*12*11*4*6*6/2 c) 13*12*11*4*4*4/2. In each case there is a division by 2: for example when considering [3,3,1] there are 13*12/2 ways to pick the two ranks that will have 3 cards each.

Sean A. Irvine: Something is wrong with this change. The total number of hands is C(52,7). So you cannot increase the number of full houses in this sequence without decreasing something else. That is, the sum of the values in this sequence must be C(52,7) (which it was before you changed it).
22:36
Sean A. Irvine: I also do not understand why you have min and max bounds, why are they needed, this number can be computed exactly.
