Visit Estonia’s first observatory, one of two Estonian cultural objects on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Old Observatory is in the heart of the city of Tartu – on the eastern slope of Toomemägi.

During the holidays, the museum is open from 28th to 29th December. The museum is closed on public holidays. On request, you can arrange to visit the museum, with a tour guide, outside the official opening hours. In this case, tickets are double the price plus the fee for the tour guide.

Guided tours
The price for a guided tour of the Tartu Old Observatory is 40 €. Museum tickets must also be purchased for the guided tour of the building.
The price for a guided tour outside the museum (in Toome Hill) is 80 € per tour.
Discount applies to pensioners, conscripts, schoolchildren, university students, seniors, holders of international student cards (ISIC Scholar, ISIC Student) or teacher cards (ITIC Teacher) and UYTC Youth Travel Card holders.
Family ticket applies to up to two adults with children. Free entrance for children under eight.
