SB310/HB386 - Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis - Small, Minority, and Women-Owned Businesses Account - Local State of Emergency was passed in the 2022 Maryland General Assembly session. The bill establishes a workgroup to study the establishment of a State Disaster Relief Fund.
The purpose of the workgroup is to make recommendations regarding the efficacy and sustainability of existing emergency fund sources and the potential establishment of a State Disaster Relief Fund. MDEM is required to provide staff to the workgroup. The Workgroup must report its findings and recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly on or before December 31, 2022.
