IMDb charakter vs. existing person

edit

You added the charakter from IMDb at Alan Turing the second time. What is the difference between Turing and e.g. Abraham Lincoln (Q91)? Then should't there been added Abraham Lincoln (Charakter) from IMDb, too? --MovieFex (talk) 09:40, 31 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

P131 for Kingdom of France ?

edit

Hi,

I see that you added (here Special:Diff/428278183) :

But shouldn't it be P17 instead of P131:

I know that Kingdom of France (Q70972) is not a usually country but still, it close to a country.

Right there is only 3 items with located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) = Kingdom of France (Q70972) but 73 with country (P17) = Kingdom of France (Q70972).

Ping @Чаховіч Уладзіслаў, Sudzuki Erina: who added located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) = Kingdom of France (Q70972) and the other 2 items (County of Flanders (Q157070) and Guyenne (Q849324)).

What do you think ?

MediaWiki:WEF AllEditors.js

edit

Hi,

As a wikisourcian and a librarian, I'm a long time user of this tool of yours on frws ... Only problem : I do not need all the modules, but only the ones for Biographies, Articles, Books, FRBR Edition and FRBR Works.

Would it be possible to only have those 5 and not all the taxon, and other useless tools (for wikisource) ?

Could you help me adapt my script, which is, for now :

// WEF editor for wd [1] - essai mw.loader.load( 'https://ru.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:WEF AllEditors.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript' );

complex constraints

edit

Hi. I've created Wikidata:Database reports/Complex constraint violations/Q15180. The only things what still needs to be done is to adapt Template:Complex constraint violations report for items. --Pasleim (talk) 10:10, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

William de Ros family

edit

Hi

You have created (it seems) lately several duplicates in the de Ros family, such as Q56372151 Q56372282 Q56373589 and maybe others I have not checked yes. I've merged them into previously existing elements. Please double-check if this is OK for you, the Russian names have been merged. Please look around others of the same kind I might have missed. I will ping you if I find more. Sorry I can't speak to you in Russian, maybe we can try French :-) Looking forward for constructive collaboration on this. I'm working on genealogy data mainly for women right now. Bvatant (talk) 09:50, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Second version of Gadget

Edit references for claim

Hi Vlsergey,

Are you maintaining this? If yes, I was wondering if this edit by StanProg is a bug in the gadget or a user input issue.

You will notice that the gadget overwrote the existing, referenced date with another date, likely not supported by the two references. --- Jura 05:21, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • @Jura1: Since there is a new date (day and month), it's obviously a user input issue. Also starting this summer with version 2.0 of gadget it's not possible to trigger changes in dat without user input. -- VlSergey (трёп) 10:50, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
    • Do they have a way of knowing that they are doing it? If there is no note of it in the GUI, it seems natural to me to change the date. --- Jura 05:06, 14 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
      • @Jura1: As well as with wikidata, there is an indication that some sources are specified or not specified for claim. Would you check second image, there are buttons with label like '[0]', '[1]', '[4]', etc. to the right of claims input boxes. Those are marks about existing references and also open reference editor dialog buttons (reference editor example is on the third thumb). -- VlSergey (трёп) 07:39, 15 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Jeanne d'Arc

edit

Hello,

Just read the sources in the French article (historical studies by Olivier Bouzy, Colette Beaune and Gerd Krumeich). Not findagrave.com.

Regards. --Guise (talk) 00:26, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • @Guise:: add new claim with preferred rank. Deprecate other claims with deprecated rank but do not delete old claims supported by references. Also do not forget to add references for your new claims. -- Vlsergey (talk) 07:43, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
    • Well, I maintain that findagrave.com is not a reliable source. I've also tried to insert these new claims with preferred rank, but to no avail :
    • Olivier Bouzy, Jeanne d'Arc, l'histoire à l'endroit !, Tours, CLD éditions, 2008, p. 82.
    • Could you insert these sources and change the birth date to "circa 1412", please ? Thanks.
    • Regards. --Guise (talk) 09:02, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Framework

edit

I just merged a few items where the tool created an item with a sitelink to a enwiki talk page: [2][3]. It shouldn't actually be possible to do that. Maybe it's an old problem. @MauraWen: --- Jura 13:55, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, it appears suddenly that the buttons of WEF no longer appear. Is there a known bug? Thanks Bouzinac💬✒️💛 20:40, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
