IDs broken?

edit

@Pigsonthewing, Thierry Caro:

Père Igor is warning us that the link for this property (and the IDs themselves?). I had a quick look and indeed something seems wrong somewhere. Could you have a look please?

@Pigsonthewing, Thierry Caro or anyone that might be interested by this property:
I hope I'm not bothering you but since VIGNERON tagged you for this question, I am guessing you might have opinions or useful remarks for this problem.
The BirdFacts interface changed, the home URL being now [1]https://www.bto.org/understanding-birds/birdfacts
The species pages still exist, but do not use the old IDs starting with bob. Instead, there's a character string in the URL of each species page, for example barn-owl or buzzard
To me the question is whether to delete the BirdFacts ID (and eventually the property itself) since those character strings do not seem to be meant to be pervasive identifiers, or to update the value in each statement. If the latter is preferred, I should be able to do it some time in the coming weeks using OpenRefine, if I manage to crawl the birdfacts website, since each species page got the BTO identifier which can be used to align the identifiers with the wikidata pages. The usual process is to mark the property as historical, find an archived version of the formatter URL, keep the values, and create a new one. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:37, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
