Abstract
In case of cervical stenosis, forceful dilatation with bougies is necessary and traction on the tenaculum can cause lacerations of the paracervical fascia. Anatomic and physiologic conditions such as menopause, preoperative treatment by LH-RH agonists, cervical hypoplasia and the hysteroscopist’s inexperience increase the risks of wounds.
