Abstract
Relative sea levels have strongly influenced the history of mankind and the evolution of this planet. On a geological time scale, the waxing and waning of ocean levels in response to early Earth processes and continuing movements of continents have left a rich record in the form of sedimentary deposits. These deposits provide insight into the effects of future ocean level changes on the continued evolution of the Earth.
