Postquam scholam anno 1989 reliquit, apud Universitatem Oecologicam Bucarestensem studium coepit et ad annum 2000 duxit.? Tum ad annum 2003 apud Academiam Studiorum Oeconomicorum Bucarestae administrationi studebat. Annis ab 1990 ad 1996 secretaria scholae fuit, et deinde ad annum 2000 apud argentariam operam dedit. Ab anno 2001, diversis in magistratibus Teleorman circuli operam dedit.

Die 11 Decembris 2016, senator pro factione PSD electa est. Die 4 Ianuarii 2017, ministra rerum internarum Romaniae in consilio ministrorum Sorin Grindeanu nominata est.[1] Hunc in magistratum Dragos Tudorache ministro successit. Etiam in consilio ministrorum Michaelis Tudose a die 29 Iunii 2017[2] et in consilio ministrorum Vioricae Dăncilăe a die 29 Ianuarii 2018[3] hunc magistratum tenuit. Die 15 Iulii 2019, ministra rerum internarum dimissa est propter violentiam vigilum.[4]
