heheh yeah. "to play this standalone program you are going to need to go get another program as well as a copy of another game" maybe im just spoiled with how well packed most doom standalone games are
also, thank you for the advice. still had a bit of trouble figuring it out, but in the end i found i could select it in the in game menu
Hope the dev/s check the comments over here since i dont feel like waiting to get verified on the discord.
Some major issues/gripes so far. I am on day 10 currently
- saving doesnt save signals being processed. was processing a huge signal i was excited about and had to stop playing. I come back to the game and the signal is gone. I'm assuming this is a known problem that is going to get fixed in the near future.
- The days are too short for the length of some assignments/the assignments get too difficult too fast. It gets to the point where it feels like you are being punished for not choosing the correct upgrades. Maybe lengthen the days or switch up the assignments that are given to you to not ramp up so quickly.
- Hunger ragdoll. it's aweful, and it breaks consoles you are currently working on. overall, things like the food, sleep and gas consumption are frustrating to manage, as they drain too fast. and when you are sleeping if you are hungry you end up outside.
- polarity and frequency sometimes drifting out of range. this doesnt work well when only half of the game is focused on sitting and waiting for the signals to finish. im always outside or trying to recover on sleep when it drifts, and then i get penalized for not being able to finish the assignment.
- overall, the biggest issue right now, is the game feels like you have to speedrun it to not miss your deadline, and that gets less fun the more stuff it throws at you. the main filling of the game is good, but the resource management part is really not.
