Kogin Bashilo (wanda aka fi sani da Beshitta ) kogin na a kasar Habasha. An san shi da canyon, wanda wata majiya ta bayyana a matsayin kusan babba kamar kogin iyayensa na Abay,wanda aka fi sani da Blue Nile, kogin ya samo asali ne kawai daga yammacin Kutaber a cikin yankin Amhara, wanda ya fara gudana zuwa arewa maso yamma inda Tergiya ke fantsama a cikinta, sannan zuwa kudu maso yamma zuwa haduwarta da Abay. Yankin magudanar ruwa yana da girman murabba'in kilomita 13,242,[1]ya mamaye sassan Semien Gondar,Semien Wollo da Debub Wollo.Rarrabansa sun haɗa da Checheho,da Walano.

Bashilo kuma yana da mahimmanci don ayyana iyakokin lardunan Habasha.A cikin karni na 17,ya raba Begemder daga Amhara . [2]A ƙarshen karni na 18, ya zama iyakar arewa ta Shewa, kamar yadda aka kwatanta da ƙi da Sarkin sarakuna Tekle Giyorgis I ya ƙi ketare Bashilo saboda za su shiga wannan lardin.[3]Kogin ya kasance iyakar arewacin Shewa a ƙarshen 1870 ta Negus Menelik na Shewa a cikin wasika zuwa ga GR Goodfellow.[4]
