Ahmad (Larabci: أحمد, romanized: ʾAḥmad) na mijin Larabci ne da aka fi sani da suna a mafi yawan sassan duniyar musulmi. Sauran rubutun sunan sun haɗa da Ahmed da Ahmet.

Sunan Ahmad

Kalmar ta samo asali ne daga tushen ح م د ( ḥ-m-d ), daga Larabci أَحْمَدَ ( ʾaḥmad ), daga kalmar aikatau حَمِدَ ( ḥameda, "godiya ko yabo"), wanda ba na baya ba يَحْمَدُ (yaḥmadu).[1] A matsayin sunan Larabci, ya samo asali ne daga annabcin kur'ani da aka jingina ga Isah a cikin Alqur'ani 61:6 wanda mafi yawan malaman Musulunci suka yarda da shi game da Muhammadu[2].
