I do not own the router any more, and this port can be treated as discontinued. However I have seen some nice and actively maintained forks around, you may use them instead.

As for the merge: I have no plan to push these files to mainline kernel, since they are too "device-specific". This adds to the difficulty to get the router into OpenWrt as well. But if someone else managed to get this into mainline kernel, things would be a lot smoother.
