Self-Supervised Euphemism Detection and Identification for Content Moderation, IEEE S&P (Oakland) 2021
A Python program for detecting and analysing sources and trends in semantic change using large datasets of >1 million English-language news articles related to the novel coronavirus, and producing human-readable plots and charts.
The goal of our project is to identify the parts of speech of certain euphemisms. For example, "pass away" is a verb while "a delicate condition" is an adjective. We can do a lot with this information, such as using it to aid the detection of euphemistic spans. We can also use this information to determine the differences in how euphemisms are used
Add a description, image, and links to the euphemism-detection topic page so that developers can more easily learn about it.
