not recommended too slow to use any free proxies

I think that your purpose is not bad, but wouldn't those free proxies change their working status in the near future? In my opinion, it seems that it'd be better to make users manually search and input free proxies.

(Additionally, you(or someone else) may have to update the list frequently(and continuously) if you decide to provide free proxy lists, which may provoke multiple additional works.)

I agree with @KnightChaser A default list of proxies would not be helpful to the community at large, instead I would suggest adding documentation about where to find proxies and how to use them... Personaly id also want to see support for proxies that use the common http[s]://ip:port format as well as the socks<4,5>://ip:port format

That is precisely what I wanted to say! I think a step-by-step documentation for people who aren't familiar with these will be better.

(Receiving a reply after 2 years is totally wild 🔥)
