Not sure what this PR is about, I do not see any file changed according to github. Perhaps it is missing a commit? There are three commits merging branches, this might cause trouble depending on the order of merging the PR. |
oh thanks for pointing out! I didn't see this earlier |

Yes, it would be better to order that way. Thanks!

Similarly, might better to put the R-devel mailing list next as the place for discussions requiring the attention of R Core (since more R core members on the mailing list than on Slack). Then mention R-announce for news and the other mailings list for help with using R/package development.

@hturner and @MichaelChirico :
I've included the R-announce
and R-packages
mailing lists in the chapter News and Announcements
.
Does the order of mailing lists in this chapter look appropriate now -- R-devel
, R-help
, R-package-devel
?
Besides the platforms mentioned here, would Zulip be considered anytime in the future? |

Good start Saranjeet, I've added some suggestions to reorganize this chapter a bit, emphasizing the more relevant resources for people wanting to contribute to R.

rebase from forwards/rdevguide main branch to the testing-R-code branch
This chapter provides sources (mailing lists and Slack channels) where one can ask for help or feedback.
