GitHub - platinasystems/switchport: virtual netdevices linked to switch front panel ports

The switchport module provides virtual Linux netdevices to represent the state, stats and SFP for the linked switch port.

ip link add link LINK [name] NAME type switchport

Where The lower LINK may be a host ether; multiplexed vlan or vfio; or a daemon forwarded tun/tap device.
