Various little bash & shell scripts to have handy. I keep remaking scripts and then forgetting where I leave them. Hopefully this cuts down on that! ...as long as I can remember why exactly I made them in the first place...
Inspired by tteck's script repo:
bash -c "$(wget -qLO - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jsspen/misc-scripts/refs/heads/main/{SCRIPT-NAME}.sh)"
Use ImageMagick to compress uncompressed tif files using LZW, copying them to a Compressed
subdirectory of the root as they're compressed. Drag and drop files onto .bat to run.
Drop 24bit FLAC files on top to convert to 16bit using SoX. Not my own creation
Take a folder of jpg images and convert them to a single PDF
Take a folder of images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .webp, .tif, .tiff, .jfif supported) and combine them into a compressed cbr file. Uses alpha order but mixed extensions can cause trouble. Drag and drop files onto .bat to run.
A script that can be modified and used with Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey/Violentmonkey to modify a page that contains an IMDB ID by converting the ID into a Letterboxd link and even adding the relevant Letterboxd rating graph to the page. Indebted to earlier work by Chameleon, LuckyLuciano, and Helmut
When given a folder with .mkv files it will create directories with matching names for each file and then move them each inside their respective directories.
Same idea as move.sh
but basically in reverse. This time it's renaming files to match the directories they're in and moving them out of their subfolders into a root directory.
Same idea as move.sh
& move-and-rename.sh
but in this case any file dropped on the .bat will then create a directory with matching name and move the file into it.
Flip the name of directories with a title - year
format to a year - title
format.
Take an input CSV file to rename relevant files.
