I eventually found it buried in a menu option / setting.

Same issue:
1. I am create account using Apple ID -> Apple ID dont give me password
2. I am add email for my apple id account for petkit - password not
correct for auth
3. I am create new account and delegate access for device - cant
change password for new account with email
4. Also security issue: For may email OTP password not changed after
10 minutes.

Be sure to follow the directions and create a new account to share the
device with and use the new login for the api.

The mobile app emails a login code, but this doesnt work as the password. The lastest version of the app doesnt assign a password. How do you get the u/p for the api?
