It would be great if there was a config setting similar to
build_panel_width_percent that would allow defining default width of Open
File dialog.
Reasoning
I work on projects that unfortunately have really long folder names and
it's out of my control. This simple setting or an ability to dynamically
change the dialog size would make it easier to differentiate between files
with similar names that are located in different directories.

Wow! Didn't know this was a thing. I guess I didn't know what This solves the issue for me. Is there a way to make the expanded view the default? |
Not at the moment. We can keep the feature request open to track this - someday we'll get to it |
