What does this implement/fix?
Currently an error status message typically appears early in the boot sequence, and can only be seen with serial logging.
Now if a component sets an error status message and marks itself as failed, that message will appear in the
config dump, which will be visible in wifi logs.
Also allow setting the status and message with a call to
mark_failed.Types of changes
