Description

Turns out that go.sum has literally nothing to do with the code that the compiler uses, and the previous commit wasn't necessary at all.

to know what the compiler will actually use, it's more like:

go list -m all

#165

  • Updated relevant documentation (docs/) or specification (x/<module>/spec/)
  • Added relevant godoc comments.
  • Added a relevant changelog entry to the Unreleased section in CHANGELOG.md

For admin use:

  • Added appropriate labels to PR (ex. WIP, R4R, docs, etc)
  • Reviewers assigned
  • Squashed all commits, uses message "Merge pull request #XYZ: [title]" (coding standards)

PS:

the tl;dr on this is kinda... ymmv-- look what cro came up with on their own:

https://github.com/crypto-org-chain/chain-main/blob/master/go.mod

So, that somewhat indicates that my original thinking might have been right. But if we're to believe go list -m all then should be okay. I am a bit puzzled by all of this and I'll keep watching how it plays out over the next month or two.
