	davix operating system kernel

This is a personal hobby project that I am doing to challenge myself and to
learn about the inner workings of operating systems.  And also because I find it
enjoyable.  Currently, it only targets 64-bit x86, as that is the most practical
target for me, however in the future there will possibly be other targets.

	Building it

A Unix-like host with GNU GCC and GNU make is recommended (though it is probably
possible to build with LLVM instead of GCC).

To build the kernel, run 'make' at the root of the source tree.  A kernel image
will be produced in the multiboot2 format in 'build/davix'.  The kernel is a
multiboot2 kernel and can be loaded with a bootloader like GRUB.

	Running it

The recommended way to run the kernel is with QEMU, but it probably works in
Bochs as well.  If you want early printk output, you should enable the Bochs
debugcon (also known as the "port 0xe9 hack").  The './run' script in the root
directory of the source tree by default builds the kernel, produces a GRUB
rescue disc with the kernel installed, and launches QEMU.  See './run --help'
for other alternatives.
