I’ve been coding since 2014, starting with Java for simple stock management tools. My passion for coding quickly expanded, and by 2015, I was building machine learning models with Python. I dove into quantitative finance as an intern at Morgan Stanley Investment Management China in 2016, developing sentiment-driven factors for quant trading. Between 2017 and 2020, I honed my skills as an independent quant trader.
In 2022, I joined Mobbot SA, a Swiss startup (RIP Mobbot 😢), where I developed an intelligent anomaly detection system for tunneling. Using unlabeled time-series data from various sensors, I crafted a solution that could spot irregular spray patterns in shotcrete applications—an incredibly rewarding experience!
From 2022 to 2024, I worked with the SIPLAB at ETH Zurich and the AIML group at the University of Zurich, focusing on human activity recognition using wrist-worn accelerometers.
