thanks for reporting, will investigate soon |
port forwarding fixed. will investigate the button issue |
Thanks a lot! Awesome. :) I would assume that the config file is not populated correctly for the raspi5. That it is not related to the NH fission. |
Newest beta is supported. What is the issue on pi5?

Thought about following up here today but thought you will look at it
whenever you find the time. Intended to test the latest beta today and RHIM
is just the most convenient way to update.
I would assume that the config file is not populated correctly for the
raspi5. That it is not related to the NH fission.
I'm no expert but if I am not mistaken something was missing in the config
when I compared it to the one that exists after the NH script installation.

The issue is that in the pi5 the shutdown button does not work. No beeps and the system is not shut down. I saw that the latest beta is supported, but I wanted to wait until the port forwarding and shutdown button issues have been fixed, too. |
Oh, sure. :) Now I understand. Could you kindly provide the link to the config that works? |
Sure. The script provided on this page. https://nuclearquads.github.io/instructions/kitinstructions.html
I can also try to upload the file from the tracker tomorrow, if that helps. On another note, just donated a little. Thanks for all your efforts! |
I did not use the quick install but used the "standard" or manual worflow. Is it mandatory to use the quick install if I use the NH? I thought that this would be optional. |
Oh, understood. Will check that too

Ok, so I perform some testing. I did a manual configuration and it works for me with one of a kits. Could you kindly provide the screen of your config file? I can assist to obtain it if needed. |
Interesting. So does this mean the shutdown button was setup properly following the standard workflow (and I did something wrong) or did you manually fix the config file afterwards? |
When you perform the manual configuration, default shutdown button pin in
GPIO 18 since this is default for RotorHazard itself.
NuclearHazard type of timers require shutdown button pin being set to GPIO
19. You can proceed with a manual configuration,
you just have to be careful what you input then ;)
Btw - shuttown button pin is being set under the advance part of the
configuration.
Let me know if that works for you and if everyting is clear now.

I see I see. Many thanks. I think that I know what to look for now. Just wondering. I have another NuclearHazard and that one runs on a Pi4. I (of course :-) ) also used your installer to set up that one and using the "standard" workflow, the shutdown button works fine. So is the GPIO 18 -> GPIO 19 only a special case for the Pi5 in combination with NuclearHazard hardware? |
To be honest I am not sure what could be the issue. Maybe this is some
combination of different versions of RotorHazard severs that defaults to
different configs (there were some changes introduced in last weeks). Maybe
config was no properly saved at some point etc. we could dig into it, but I
am not sure of that’s necessary (but interesting for sure).

Thanks! If you want to debug, I am happy to help and provide what's necessary. The question might pop up more often potentially in the future. Not sure how many NH users are using your script and then the manual path though. Thanks again for all your time and efforts. |
Hi,
as per the title , the shutdown button is not working. It's a NuclearFission with a Pi5.
And for the port forwarding issue which I encountered as well, I see that a different issue was already opened. :)
Thank you!
