Vibey is a community driven initiative to find online conferences and events for developers. It is a web app that lets you find online events and conferences that are happening around the world. This project is still in its early stages and we are looking for contributors to make this project a success.

- Fork the repo. You can find the button on the top.
- Clone the repository using the command
git clone https://github.com/<USERNAME>/vibey
- Open the project in your IDE(eg. VS Code).
- Create the file name
.env.localin root directory and paste the content given below.
NEXT_PUBLIC_APPWRITE_PROJECT_ID = [Project ID]
NEXT_PUBLIC_APPWRITE_ENDPOINT= [API Endpoint]
- [Project ID] and [API Endpoint] in the above step are obtained from Appwrite.
- To obtain them, go to appwrite. Create an account in case you are new to the platform.
- Create
projectusing Appwrite Cloud. Click on create project and enter the project name.
- After creating the project, choose webapp in Add a Platform section.
- Fill the name as
vibeyand fill Hostname aslocalhost. Keep clicking on next until you are redirected to dashboard.
- Go to settings where you can find the
project IDandAPI endPoint.
- Add into NEXT_PUBLIC_APPWRITE_PROJECT_ID =
project_id - Add into NEXT_PUBLIC_APPWRITE_ENDPOINT =
endPoint - Run
yarn installoryarnto install all dependencies - Run
yarn devto start the application - Visit https://localhost:3000 to view the application
- Run installation steps
- Find Issue to work on or create a new issue for feature request or bug
- Create a new branch for your feature
git checkout -b feature-name - Make your changes
- Commit your changes
git commit -a -m "Add some feature" - Push to the branch
git push origin feature-name - Create a new pull request
