Welcome to the translation project for Folding@home!
This wiki is a source of information for general decisions/guidelines about translations that apply to all languages.
Individual translations teams are encouraged to come up with rules and guidelines that are specific to their language in addition to these.
- For translators
- For developers
- Addressing users formally is preferred over too familiar variants
- If applicable, use gender-neutral and inclusive language
- The term "Folding" should be translated as the correct scientific term in each language for serious descriptions. However, in some case it might be necessary to alter its translation depending on context, e.g. "Some of us are quite intense in our approach to folding." in https://foldingathome.org/statistics/
- Keep "Folding@home" as it is unless it is absolutely necessary to translate/transliterate it
