TweetTrace is a free and open-source Chrome extension that records tweets you visit, providing seamless search and filtering functionalities to help you navigate your Twitter history while keeping your data secure and private.

Installation

Chrome Web Store

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store to install the extension directly.
  2. Search for "TweetTrace" in the store.
  3. Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.

Developer Mode

  1. Download the TweetTrace source code from the GitHub repository.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file to a location on your computer.
  3. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/.
  4. Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
  5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped TweetTrace folder.
  6. The extension should now appear in your Chrome browser.

Usage

Automatic Recording

  • Once installed, TweetTrace will automatically start recording tweets you visit.
  • Use the browser action icon to access your recorded tweets and utilize the search and filtering options.
