Description:

  • Implement a new 8000 rule to remove pkg inetutils-telnet

Rationale:

  • telnet is a transitional dummy package for inetutils-telnet default switch
  • Satisfy rule 2.2.4 Ensure telnet client is not installed which requires inetutils-telnet & telnet are not installed

Hi @alanmcanonical. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a ComplianceAsCode member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

Instructions for interacting with me using PR comments are available here. If you have questions or suggestions related to my behavior, please file an issue against the kubernetes-sigs/prow repository.

It needs to be in both components:

Rule 'package_inetutils-telnet_removed' must be assigned to component 'inetutils-telnet', because rule uses template 'package_removed' with 'pkgname' parameter set to 'inetutils-telnet' which is a package that already belongs to component 'inetutils-telnet'.
Rule 'package_inetutils-telnet_removed' must be in component 'telnet' because it's a member of 'telnet' group.
