Seems to happen when you make too many changes in the editor too quickly. Once it occurs, the track cannot be restored ever again.

Steps to recreate:

  • Copy the base track
  • Rapidly alter the sliders for track settings until you see the error at the top of the screen.

Actual Result: Error displayed - track no longer editable without the error

Expected Result: Should handle lots of tasks, or lock the user out when saving.

Thanks for the error report! Is it possible to start editing the track again if you reload the editor page?

The things I've tried to resolve the issue:

  • refresh the page
  • Ctrl-F5
  • Switch to drive mode and back into edit mode
  • Switch tracks and switch back
  • Close and restart browser

None of these seem to help.

It's a fantastic game! Keep up the good work, and let me know if you need
some development help. I'm happy to chip in when I have a few extra
minutes here and there.

Thank you! :) Please can you post a link to the track that is stuck in this

Also, for what it's worth - this track was Error(409)'d on friday, and when
I began editing it this morning it was working again. So something changed
over the weekend. Maybe that'll help you trace the bug.

I also encounter this error. It seems that changing to another track and back again fixes the error (temporary).
