Für einen einfachen Dubletten-Check kann geprüft werden, ob mehrere Dokumente mit der gleichen DOI verknüpft sind. Dafür werden Funktionen benötigt, um alle DOIs in der Datenbank zu ermitteln. Um die nachträgliche Prüfung der Dokumente zu beschleunigen, sollte es auch möglich sein direkt nur die DOIs zu ermitteln, die mehr als einmal in der Datenbank vorkommen.

Die Funktionalität soll erst einmal nur für DOIs umgesetzt werden, aber es ist denkbar das auf alle Identifier zu verallgemeinern und damit unabhängig von der DOI-Funktionalität zu machen.
