What is local Sync?

It is a fallback for entries that don't exist on MAL/Anilist/Kitsu. Allowing you to use all the MAL-Sync features. It saves entries that don't exist on MAL/Anilist/Kitsu locally on your PC. So keep in mind that changing PC or clearing your browser data could result in data loss.

Where do I find the saved data?

You can browse the local entries only in the extension popup. They get automatically integrated into your MAL/Anilist/Kitsu bookmark list there. An export/import feature can be found in the settings.
