This has a 10% chance to proc over the default proc rate of weapons (according to unknown070 value).

I'm currently a 59 Half-Elf Ranger and, with help from my guildies, acquired this weapon about a month ago. I think it is a nice weapon, but can't be used at all times due to the knockback effect. I carry a Long Sword of Ethereal Energy as my primary weapon and a Club of the Ice Ocean as my secondary. I'm not epified yet so this is all I have.

When possible, I equip the Silver Blade instead of the LSoEE to get the 263 point proc. I must say that a high DEX skill really helps with this weapon. My unbuffed DEX is 164 and when fighting with my Shaman guildie, I am buffed up to 214 DEX. I can tell the difference as this sword will proc, on average, about 3 to 5 times with the higher DEX, as opposed to 2 to 4 times unbuffed.

When I use it: When soloing I almost always use it. When in a group and fighting in an area where there is a wall, preferably a corner to put the mob in so the knockback doesn't really knock it back, I use it.

When I don't use it: When fighting in a group and in an open area with nothing to contain the mob as the knockback is very frustrating to others. Also it is not good when on a cliff or other elevated areas as the mob can get blown off and in many cases will not return alone.

One note on the knockback. If the mob is a summoning mob, when he gets knocked back, he will frequently summon you with him so you find yourself right up against him as soon as the weapon procs. Not a big problem as you just back up and continue fighting.

I have three procs, the Silver Blade for 263, the Club of the Ice Ocean for 149 and the Call of Fire for 60 something usually. With these three things proccing frequently, as they do, I tend to hold aggro quite a bit unless with an uber tank, but I put out a good bit of damage on my own. Not bragging here, just stating that the added damage from these things really helps. I know I don't produce the damage of a high level Warrior but we hardly ever have a Warrior in our groups so I end up being the main tank a lot. As long as we have a good cleric along, it works out well.

I don't know if I would suggest spending the money on this blade but other than acquiring the faction you need in Jaggedpine for the turn in, this wasn't a hard quest to do at all, with a little help from your friends. Ikurenm the Sly, by the way, was not a problem. We surrounded him while invised with about 6 melee and took him down quickly. It was more tedious to kill all the mobs in the castle leading up to him than it was to do him once we got there. Good luck to you all if you decide to go for this, a nice blade, in my opinion.

Excuse me but is this weapon actually worth the quest? I just killed the damn gnoll in SK solo and it took 11 Sunstrikes and it still killed me. Luckily I remembered where the corpse was so I got the quest piece anyway. But jeez, I looked up this quest now and all I have too look forward to is killing mobs in places there's no way to even think about getting to solo. If they put in one more god damn thing to promote their gay *** little "grouping encouraged" attitude someone who is definately not me will kill Sony!!!!

PS- This weapon should be 15/23 at least, JaggedPine's mobs are the same undercons as Shadows of Luclin so it should give the same rewards as SoL quests.

I was told that this blade has a particle effect similar to epic weapons? i was wondering if that was true or not.

My guild officer friend finally finished this quest with sum guildies 3 days it took us =( but we finaly did it!

Ok, so just how do you kill this guy? I've been down to the hole THREE times now and he's despawned each time we've reached him. First time a 60 monk tagged him to pull him... *Poof* despawned. 2nd time 60 paladin just went into the room to check on him Ikerumn attacked him... *Poof* despawned. Last time I myself went in (with ally faction in JP, wasn't sure if this would've mattered, but I did it anyway). I hit him twice...*Poof* despawned. So... just what is the secret to keeping this chicken *@$(*@ Imp from taking off?

This weapon is a good stat weapon (like the CLS). I'd put this in my secondairy any day, in fact I do! Ratio and delay in secondairy, depending on who you talk to, is totaly ignored because the chance to attack with it is based on your dual wield skill.

So let's say we forget about the 12/27 ratio, what's so bad about it? AC15 Str5 Sta5 Wis5 mr/cr5 seem like goods stats to add, right? A 250+dd is great for soloing or to get that mob off your cleric (if you can get it to proc).

I agree that the epics are better than this, but we are not all playing twinked characters, or are in uber guilds, and this can make a great secondairy hand weapon for pre-epic or for peeps who are not twinked or members of a uber guild.

If you still say this weapon is trash, I got a rusty short sword for sale.

I know I'm sounding trite as hell, as everyone who sees an item they can't use does, but when are bristlebain followers getting any items at all?! I mean as far as I know we can't get cultural armor, and there are no bristlebain items, when you take into consideration that everything Bristlebain is about is DIRECTLY related to items, this just doesn't make sense... c'mon VI, get some more deity stuff out, and for a change, something that's not for these nature freaks.
