editProbably from kur with unattested meaning “penis” (compare Kashubian kùrc, Serbo-Croatian ку̏рац/kȕrac) + -ś.[1] Orignally “(little) penis” (attested since Middle Polish) > “young boy” (compare dialectal Polish kusiu (“little boy”)). Compare Belarusian ку́сік (kúsik, “penis”, childish).
