editSame word as 嘽 (OC *tʰjanʔ, “easy-going; relaxed”) and perhaps 闡 (OC *tʰjanʔ, “to open; to explain; to disclose”) (Schuessler, 2007). Possibly related to 禪 (OC *djans, “to relinquish (< to be generous)”) and 坦 (OC *tʰaːnʔ, “at ease”) (ibid.).
