I am an administrator (specifically, a "sysop") on Wikiquote, although I've been rather inactive for the past few years. Even so, I endeavor to address any questions or matters that come my way, promptly.
Since I've haven't been keeping up on all the changes to Wikiquote, I invite anyone to boldly correct any errors I may make, without prior notification, although I would appreciate a notice on my talk page after this is done, mostly to help me realize my misunderstanding.

- Swift, 26 August 2005, "Another Smart Kid", reported by reader David Craig

edit- Those who want information to be free as a matter of principle should create some information and make it free.
- Nicholas Petreley (4 September 2000). "Information doesn't want to be free — people want it to be". InfoWorld. Retrieved on 2007-01-02.

- Doubt is not an agreeable condition, but certainty is absurd.
- Voltaire, letter to Frederick II of Prussia, 6 April 1767
- Doubt is not an agreeable condition, but certainty is absurd.
- The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them.
- George Orwell, "Notes on Nationalism" (1945 Polemic essay)
- Caesar: Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
- George Bernard Shaw, Caesar and Cleopatra (1898)

- Robert Heinlein; Spider Robinson (September 2006). Variable Star (1st ed.). New York: Tom Doherty Associates. pp. 32. ISBN 0-763-31312-X Invalid ISBN.
- I do not believe in Belief. But this is an Age of Faith, and there are so many militant creeds that, in self defence, one has to formulate a creed of one's own. Tolerance, good temper and sympathy are no longer enough in a world where ignorance rules, and Science, which ought to have ruled, plays the pimp. Tolerance, good temper and sympathy — they are what matter really, and if the human race is not to collapse they must come to the front before long.
- E. M. Forster, "What I Believe", The Nation, 16 July 1938
- Faith sustains us in the hour when reason tells us that we cannot continue, that the whole of our lives is without meaning. […] Faith and reason are the shoes on your feet! You can travel further with both than you can with just one.
- Brother Alwyn, "The Deconstruction of Falling Stars", Babylon 5, 27 October 1997
- A man must be excessively stupid, as well as uncharitable, who believes that there is no virtue but on his own side, and that there are not men as honest as himself who may differ from him in political principles.
- Joseph Addison, The Spectator, No. 243 (8 December 1711)
- At home, political convictions are a tool for getting things done within your community; on the road, political convictions are a clumsy set of experiential blinders, compelling you to seek evidence for conclusions you've already drawn. If you really are liberal and enlightened (or conservative and informed) you will stop yammering about politics and learn something about the culture you're visiting.

- If DRM (digital rights management) is the worst thing you have to deal with in your day-to-day life – if your biggest problem is that you can't make your iTunes songs play on a Zune – then you should take a minute to thank God for giving you such a wonderful life.
