Question from Trevor TDK (19:58, 7 May 2024)

Hello! Would I be able to create a Wikipedia page about an upcoming album that has information about it from the artist themselves? Just want to make sure if I have to wait or not. --Trevor TDK (talk) 19:58, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello Trevor TDK, you would need to find reliable sources not from the artist themselves as well. Could you tell me the name of the artist? Please note, I will be taking a wikibreak for a few days due to certain IRL commitments that must take priority, but I'm sure one of my talk page stalkers will be happy to answer any additional questions that you might have, or provide advice for you. Happy editing! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 02:25, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
The artist is Falling in Reverse. Trevor TDK (talk) 03:26, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
@Trevor TDK, Like Yoshi said. You need to provide a reliable source for the information. Did you get a WikiWelcome message that shows help for learning the basics of Wikipedia? If not, I can give you one. But, word of mouth isn’t a reliable source as it can’t be verified. Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 18:30, 11 May 2024 (UTC)

On adding section to an article

Hi Yoshi! I hope you are well. I wanted to ask something about a topic. I want to add a section in (an unrelated) Wikipedia article about something. So how should I do it. I know that I'll have to go on the talk page of the article first. But I am not sure of the whole process how to do it. Could you guide me how? Thanks Knightknight12345 (talk) 11:35, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello, @Knightknight12345. Yoshi is currently on WikiBreak due to personal reasons. What is the article and what do you want to add into the article? Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 18:34, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
thanks for responding. But I've decided not to edit the article right now.Knightknight12345 (talk) 18:35, 11 May 2024 (UTC)

Incorrect contribution (request for help)

Dear Yoshi24517, I am Oksana Gekk. I am writing to you because you have already made edits to this contribution https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Teodor_Currentzis&diff=prev&oldid=1193234321 I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this contribution is generally untrue.

On January 2, 2024 there was no concert given by Teodor Currentzis at the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia. According to the official website of the Philharmonia, there were three concerts by other performers at the Philharmonia, but not Currentzis. https://www.philharmonia.spb.ru/en/afisha/?ev_y=2023&ev_m=1&ev_z=&ev_v=

Moreover, the only source for this contribution is tabloid media – Slipped Disc, a blog primarily focusing on classical music industry gossip, as it is mentioned here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Lebrecht

In turn, Slipped Disc refers to a Facebook post, thus violating the prohibition to use self-published sources about a living person unless written or published by the subject.

I would kindly ask you for your help with editing of this contribution.

Many thanks in advance!

Best wishes, Oksana. Oksana Gekk (talk) 16:01, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Oksana Gekk, I may have edited the page, but that was due to vandalism. I removed the vandalism. What I was watching was a recent changes feed. Once I take action on the edit, it moves to the next page, so I do not see any edits that happen afterwards. If you think it is wrong, you may remove it, but be prepared to support your statement. Not quite sure why I'm being asked about an anti-vandalism edit I made 4 months ago. Hope this helps. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 20:02, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Snuff films and "alleged"

Hi, I'm new to Wikipedia and english isn't my first language so I hope I'm doing this right, sorry if this is meant to be in the article talk page instead, I didn't want to start an edit war. Snuff films are alleged according to the article itself, as the lead concludes with "According to the fact-checking website Snopes, there has never been a verified example of a genuine commercially produced snuff film. Videos of actual murders (such as beheading videos) have been made available to the public, generally through the Internet; however, those videos have been made and broadcast by the murderers either for their own gratification or for propaganda purposes, and not for financial gain and thus do not qualify, by definition, as a 'snuff film'." It is also stated in more detail that snuff films are not known to exist in the "Reality" section of the article.

If you like I can keep the word "alleged" out of it but was the rest of my edit (making it clearer that they are explicitly made and sold for profit, and removing the arguably redundant statement that they are often graphic) okay and I can revert it or do you think it was better before? Up to you, you don't have to give a reason.

Thank you. Sorry if I did this wrong. -unsigned comment by IP 2A02:C7E:3188:4C00:3982:B0EF:78AA:B84C

Hello IP, I feel you can do the same edit, just without the word alleged. Your explanation makes sense, just if you add the word "alleged" it makes your edit seem a little weird. Hope this helps! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 22:53, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello Yoshi24517

Please stop restoring the lines I'm deleting. It's all fake news/propaganda from a very famous communist Italian web page Fanpage.it, they cannot be trusted as they have, multiple times, spat out idiocracy to undermine public opinion of the Right. Please abstain from ever linking them as a source to any political article, thanks!

- Wery W3ryfrate (talk) 22:00, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

W3ryfrate, it was because you deleted content without explaining why. See the gentle warning on your talk page. Had you left an edit summary, I probably would have left it alone. Most editors will revert if they see deleted content without an explanation. Please try to leave an edit summary with your edits, it helps explain what you are doing. Happy editing. Nostalgia for the Soviet Union

This is 2 months late, my apologies, I have been busy with other stuff in my life [and when I wasn't, I forgot about this lol], but was just here to say that your reversion of my edit on the page "Nostalgia for the Soviet Union" seems to be a mistake. I did not actually do a mass-removal of content, I just organized it by SSR, using excerpts from this page, making it show as a large decrease in bytes in the edit history. WikiCup 2024 July newsletter

The third round of the 2024 WikiCup ended on 28 June. As with Round 2, this round was competitive: each of the 16 contestants who advanced to Round 4 scored at least 256 points.

The following editors all scored more than 400 points in Round 3:

The full scores for round 3 can be seen here. So far this year, competitors have gotten 28 featured articles, 38 featured lists, 240 good articles, 92 in the news credits, and at least 285 did you know credits. They have conducted 279 featured article reviews, as well as 492 good article reviews and peer reviews, and have added 22 articles to featured topics and good topics.

Remember that any content promoted after 28 June but before the start of Round 4 can be claimed during Round 4, which starts on 1 July at 00:00 (UTC). Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. Question from Knightknight12345 (14:43, 2 July 2024)

Hi Yoshi! Hope you are well. I have a question. Can I replace the sources in a Wikipedia article. Like if one source describes a thing better than the other can I replace that source? --Knightknight12345 (talk) 14:43, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello Knightknight12345. That is a tough question. This one, I will have to talk to another colleague of mine. Courtesy ping Cowboygilbert or GrayStorm, to see if they know. I await their response, or if somebody else is stalking my talk page, they're free to answer as well. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 23:07, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello, @Knightknight12345. What kind of source is there? It’s generally acceptable if there is a maintenance tag in place of it like {{better source needed}}, {{non-primary source needed}}, etc. If you want, you can just slap it right next to an existing source. One extra source never hurts someone if you have good faith and following the reliable sources policies! Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 23:24, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
thanks for the response. I wanted to add a new source as it contained limited information about a sentence in the article. Like only a line was written. I wanted to add a source describing subject matter in detail Knightknight12345 (talk) 15:46, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Hello. Your article is not published because no one has moved it to the mainspace. Since you are autoconfirmed, you can move the page directly to the mainspace, or you can resubmit it to articles for creation by clicking the button that says resubmit (note that articles for creation currently has a lot of submissions, and it might take 4 or more months for your article to be accepted). Before you do either of these, you should ensure your sources compliy with our reliable sources and notability guidelines. I noticed that at least a few sources are not independent of the subject of the article. I reccomend finding new, reliable, indepedent sources that feature significant coverage of the subject of the article. Happy editing! Question from GalacticPediaNerd (17:32, 19 July 2024)

My page is being deleted by some speedy deletion tag abuser for being promotional. His name is AntiDionysius. How do I fix the page? I wasn't even trying to promote Kanel Joseph; I'm trying to write a page to provide information to Wikipedia users about him. Please review my edit. --GalacticPediaNerd (talk) 17:32, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

First off, GalacticPediaNerd, I will not help you if you are going to be combative towards people who are trying to help you. If you continue to attack other editors who are acting in good faith, I will remove you from my mentee list, and recommend a block. Second off, calm down and read everything he has said. Again, he is trying to help you. Courtesy ping: AntiDionysius Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 01:09, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
I'm a new editor who hasn't published an article yet because I know it's not complete and won't be for several months. However, someone flagged it for deletion, which is confusing to me because I never published it. It's just confusing. It would make sense if I published it to review, but it was taken down immediately, and my writing was essentially wiped out when I could have worked on it or added references. I'm not mad; I'm confused. Which is allowed because I'm new here. But I apologise for earlier. Maybe I overreacted. I wasn't thinking. It felt like I was being targeted, at the time I didn't know how Wikipedia even worked because as you now this is one of my first ever articles in the process of being made, or me contributing to Wikipedia at all in 7 months. Also, I was told that I was "promoting" Kanel Joseph, which I most certainly was not; the reason why I created the page was because as you know if you search up other YouTubers, they will have a wikipedia text supplied by Google algorithms. So I decided to put my fast typing skills to work and create a new page for Kanel Joseph, but it was almost taken down immediately. Please consider that. GalacticPediaNerd (talk) 01:26, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
A block and a removal from mentee list is insane. I'm new. I'm still learning; I'm not perfect. GalacticPediaNerd (talk) 01:26, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
GalacticPediaNerd, thank you for calming down, and apologizing. I'm more than willing to help you now. I have pinged him over here, so he can give his thoughts. As I understand it, you wrote a draft article in draft space, and it was speedy deleted under the G11 criteria, which means that an administrator thought it was unambiguously promotional. It also means it would need a fundamental rewrite to become encyclopedic. Now, that necessarily is not a bad thing, it just means the article needs to be have more of a more neutral tone, or written in a tone that does not sound like it is promoting Kanel Joseph. If you need help with this, WP:NPOV is a good page to read, as it describes our neutral point of view policy. Now, I did not se ethe text of the page before it was deleted, so I'm not able to know what was on the page, but I would also recommend looking for some reliable sources to show how they are notable. I hope this helps, and happy editing. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 01:38, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

Question from GalacticPediaNerd (03:41, 23 July 2024)

I would like to make a article about Sonya Massey since there's A LOT of coverage, but I want to know if it is allowed in this case. She was murdered by law enforcement and it was widespread but I don't see a article --GalacticPediaNerd (talk) 03:41, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

GalacticPediaNerd, hmmm, that depends. Are they articles that are not connected to the subject in anyway, and are subject to rigorous fact-checking? If so, I would start making a draft first to get everything together and plan it out first. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 18:40, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
it seems like a more experienced writer made the Sonya massey article already which is good. GalacticPediaNerd (talk) 18:42, 24 July 2024 (UTC)

Myhockeypro: Please read WP:BOSS. Also, Wikipedia is not a web host, as it seems like you are really only here to promote your business. I'm going to have to ask for your userpage to be deleted. Question from Sklevridge (17:14, 4 August 2024)

I'm trying to add citations for an article which currently doesn't have any but all the sources I can find are French-language. I don't speak French. Are foreign-language sources allowed if they are machine translated? --Sklevridge (talk) 17:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

Hello Sklevridge,
Many articles have sources in languages other than English. What I think you could do, is after you machine translate it, paraphrase it and put it into the article you are working on, but when you cite the source, be sure to include a parameter in the cite web template that says |language=fr. Hope this helps! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 04:48, 5 August 2024 (UTC)

I didn't intend on removing the whole category. I just needed the bio removed, but not I can't seem to undo the changes because you are editing this page as I type (according to Wikipedia). Myth-Science of the Gatekeepers

Hello Yoshi,

I am representing the Rainbow Serpent nonprofit organization and we are checking in on a multitude of rejected wikipedia pages. Our biggest page, Myth-Science of the Gatekeepers, seems like a good place to start! We're hoping you can provide a little more direction as to why these pages were rejected - i.e., what exactly is missing in terms of citations.

Thank you so much, Ariel ArielB RS (talk) 20:55, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

ArielB RS, first off, are you paid by Rainbow Serpent in any way? You MUST declare this first. Please see WP:PAID on how to do so. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 23:34, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Jannik Sinner’s languages

I ask you to not revert my corrections to his language background. Infact his mother tongue is a specific dialect not German, and He doesn’t have difficulties speaking Italian. Question from Mick Dunne (23:22, 27 August 2024)

Hi Yoshi. I've been trying to make an entry for my father, under people named Dunne, and it keeps being deleted. Now the page is semi-protected. What can I do? --Mick Dunne (talk) 23:22, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

Hi there Mick Dunne,
Let me get this straight, you are trying to create a page for your father? If that’s the case, you would need to have an article made about him first, and with that comes finding sources that show he is notable in some way, and has had news or online coverage of him somewhere. WP:NOTABILITY can be a guide here. WP:RS can help show what kind of sources to use.
Secondly, since he is your father, you do indeed have a conflict of interest here. As such, I would recommend that if you want to create an article, create it in the Draft space, where you can work on it. This way, you can also submit it through the articles for creation process, which I would highly recommend you do due to the conflict of interest.
Hope this helps. Yoshi24517 (mobile) (talk) (Very Busy) 00:05, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
I will get down to this soon. He was an actor with the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, and with many other Irish theatre companies, and appeared in English films.
His plays are listed in the Abbey Theatre Archives wesite as Michael Dunne and mícheál ó duinn.
I have professional photos, his portfolio, theatre programmes etc. and much more information. He toured the American east coast with The Young Ireland Theatre Company. His grandson Tal Michael Dunne has his own Wikipedia page. Mick Dunne (talk) 00:40, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

Changes to Alight

Hi, why did you roll back the updates I just made to the entry for Alight? The information on that entry is very dated, and the new details I added are mostly from the organization's updated website. GiovanniGF (talk) 20:14, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

Hi there GiovanniGF,
On mobile right now so apologies for any spelling mistakes. You also deleted a bunch of well sourced content with your edit as well. Could you try to incorporate the current info as well? In addition, you seem to rely on the same website a bunch. I know it looks like its Alight’s but I would like to ask you if you can also find some reliable sources from other websites as well, that could reflect the same information. I understand you mean well, but we try not to rely on primary sources too much. If after you search, cannot find any other sources that could possibly reference the same data, then you can use the primary source as a reference. I hope this helps! P.S., try not to put external links and references in section headers. Thanks, and happy editing. Yoshi24517 (mobile) (talk) (Very Busy) 21:04, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

Titanic4151912, Ah, I figured as much. That happens to me a lot. I would suggest for you to redo your edit, but it seems to have already been made, with supporting sources. Question from Seanstatguy (01:02, 3 September 2024)

Hello! Do you know how to add the flags of people in Wikipedia pages? If so that would be very appreciated. --Seanstatguy (talk) 01:02, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Hello Seanstatguy, and welcome to Wikipedia! Could you be a little more specific when you mean to add the flags of people? Do you mean like flags of a person's nationality, such as American (USA flag) or French (France flag)? Let me know, so I can better assist you! :) Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 01:54, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Question from Abu Ishak Sarker1 (17:50, 4 September 2024)

How to add my profile in Wikipedia --Abu Ishak Sarker1 (talk) 17:50, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

Abu Ishak Sarker1, I highly recommend you do not do that, because Wikipedia is not a web host, and may get your user page speedily deleted for being a web host. If your sole purpose was to create a user page with a bunch of links to advertise yourself, and not to edit Wikipedia, then this place is not for you. About autocomplete

Hi yoshi. Hope you are well. I wanted to ask a question about Wikipedia autocomplete. Usually when we write stuff on Wikipedia search bar, after writing a word an autocomplete appears. There are certain articles that are less popular and not significant that will appear on the autocomplete. Is there a way to alter the autocomplete in such a way that these article suggestions will not appear when we write a word on the autocomplete Knightknight12345 (talk) 04:15, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

Hey Knightknight12345,
I have zero idea how the autocomplete works in the search bar. Sorry about that! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 23:51, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
Do you know someone else I can ask this question? Knightknight12345 (talk) 18:33, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
Hey Knightknight12345, apologies for the delay, IRL stuff is making me very busy. I am not sure where to ask. My suggestion would be the Teahouse, and just mentioning it to you now, they may give you an answer you may not want to hear. Doesn't hurt to try asking though. I hope this helps! Question from 11917jamesrichard (17:50, 9 September 2024)

Hi Mentor. Will Wikipedia review and/or publish an article that doesn't have citations? --11917jamesrichard (talk) 17:50, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi 11917jamesrichard,
No, absolutely not. Wikipedia will under no circumstances publish an article without citations, because we do not have any place to reference the information. An exception to this may be draft space, where you can work on your article there, but under no circumstance will an article be published without sources. Hope this helps. RE: Feng Shui

I removed that part of the description because "Pseudoscientific" is an unfair moniker. To give an example, the Jewish passover sacrifice is not described as Pseudoscientific. I think it is not right to describe a Chinese religious practice as "pseudoscience" while not giving a religion more accepted in the west's practices that name.

I don't think any one religious practice should be given the name Pseudoscience, while many other practices go unnamed. 145.40.189.56 (talk) 07:26, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Hello my friend, you just wrongly reverted my edition in the article FIFA Club World Championship, with a merge request opened there (also with primary and secondary sources saying the same, and consensus - but not unanimous). We have all elements to make the move! Please respect Wikipedia rules! We are a faction here making Wikipedia better, bigger and more accurate! Sorry, but what admin should I contact? I didn't know that! CrazyLoverFutbolLoko (talk) 00:28, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
CrazyLoverFutbolLoko, thank you for for your honesty. I would wait, because an admin has said that you clearly do not have consensus for the time being. See the comment by Black Kite left on I believe the talk page of FIFA Club World Championship. What you should do, is wait for people to respond to your history merge request first. What we would like is for uninvolved editors to discuss the merge first. I hope this helps. Because of this, I will be undoing your revert of my revert, because there isn't any consensus yet, and it seems an admin objects to it right now. Hope you understand. You welcome! We clear have consensus (not unanimity), also we have primary and secondary sources saying the same! I already opened a discussion in the FIFA Club World Championship talk page and I will wait for the admin to move the article to FIFA Club World Championship/Cup (2000–2023), but we need to keep Wikipedia updated! Question from Yv1515 (09:34, 22 September 2024)

hello sir I need your help for create new page for company wikipedia --Yv1515 (talk) 09:34, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

Yv1515, does the company that you want to create an article about have significant coverage outside of sources connected to the company itself? Also, do you have any connection to this company at all? Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 01:38, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
yes they have all top required sources . yes they are my friends company 2409:4090:200C:BA02:6DD0:FEC:AA4:9D6E (talk) 07:31, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Yv1515, First off, try not to edit while logged out, and login with your actual account. Second off, you would then have a connection with the subject, and as such should NOT be creating an article. Thirdly, you would have to make sure the sources you have are not connected to the subject in any way, and are third party sources which have a reputation for rigorous fact checking. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 18:50, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
can you able to make this company page for us ? 2409:4090:200C:BA02:6002:7641:C0CA:539 (talk) 10:03, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
(talk page visitor) Hi! If you want the page to be created, you should first check if the company is notable. In Wikipedia jargon, notable doesn't mean "important" or "famous", but rather that there are enough good independent sources to write an encyclopedia article about it.
As Yoshi said, you shouldn't be creating the article directly. The best way is to go through the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process, where you can write a draft to have it reviewed by a volunteer. There are some help guides you can read here and here too! Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 16:19, 28 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi Yoshi. I have a friend he had a rich past let say, he wrote the book Hackerville Drumul Spre Inchisoare, it’s a book about the Romanian city Ramnicu Valcea ( the main hackers city in the world) and he was one of them. He wrote this book sold in more than 1000 pcs and peoples ask for part two already. Now he will release other one ( not second part that peoples ask) vut will be notable The Hacker is called. He was at tv shows, the tv show Hackerville is inspired by his life. His name is George Tirca. He moved in London, here i meet him, and he have a web design company now. He is known and i want to open a wikipedia page for him. Thank you! --Robertaustin198 (talk) 23:03, 5 October 2024 (UTC)

Hi there Robertaustin198, apologies for the very big delay, I've been trying to figure out how to respond. I suggest you ask your question at the Teahouse, where you might get a better answer. Hope this helps! I did do a quick check of what you mentioned to me, I do see some things exist, but I'm not sure if there are enough sources to establish notability out there. The Teahouse will probably be able to give you a better answer. Happy editing. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 01:16, 12 October 2024 (UTC)

Hello Yoshi! I am trying to create a page for a medical scholar. If I want to add a photo of the person, should I do it after or before the page is approved? --Nilotumben (talk) 14:55, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

Hey Nilotumben, and welcome to Wikipedia! Is your article in the form of a draft? Judging from what you said about approval, I assume it is. You can still use images as long as the images are available to be used, with no copyrights interfering, then you should be fine. Hope this helps, and happy editing! Thank you Yoshi! Nilotumben (talk) 15:36, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
@Nilotumben While Yoshi24517 is correct, speaking as someone who reviews images aren't important to draft approval at all. If you are having difficult getting a free culture licensed picture (or if you're just not sure what "free culture licensed" even means!), it's okay to wait until after approval. WikiCup 2024 November newsletter

The 2024 WikiCup has come to an end, with the final round being a very tight race. Our new champion is   AirshipJungleman29 (submissions), who scored 2,283 points mainly through 3 high-multiplier FAs and 3 GAs on military history topics. By a 1% margin, Airship beat out last year's champion, Delaware  BeanieFan11 (submissions), who scored second with 2,264 points, mainly from an impressive 58 GAs about athletes. In third place,   Generalissima (submissions) scored 1,528 points, primarily from two FAs on U.S. Librarians of Congress and 20 GAs about various historical topics. Our other finalists are:   Sammi Brie (submissions) with 879 points, Canada  Hey man im josh (submissions) with 533 points,   BennyOnTheLoose (submissions) with 432 points,   Arconning (submissions) with 244 points, and Christmas Island  AryKun (submissions) with 15 points. Congratulations to our finalists and all who participated!

The final round was very productive, and contestants had 7 FAs, 9 FLs, 94 GAs, 73 FAC reviews, and 79 GAN reviews and peer reviews. Altogether, Wikipedia has benefited greatly from the activities of WikiCup competitors all through the contest. Well done everyone!

All those who reached the final will receive awards and the following special awards will be made, based on high performance in particular areas of content creation. So that the finalists do not have an undue advantage, these prizes are awarded to the competitor who scored the highest in any particular field in a single round, or in the event of a tie, to the overall leader in this field.

Next year's competition will begin on 1 January. You are invited to sign up to participate; the WikiCup is open to all Wikipedians, both novices and experienced editors, and we hope to see you all in the 2025 competition. Until then, it only remains to once again congratulate our worthy winners, and thank all participants for their involvement!

The Hot Dog Wars

I appreciate your note. However I have attempted repeatedly to engage on the talk page. The very first time I made the change I noted it on the talk page.

However the person reverting my edits refuses to engage. You can readily verify that from the talk page. So I don't understand how I am the one being warned here?

From my POV I made a reasonable and well-justified change. The person repeatedly reverting that change without offering any justification for doing so has created this edit war. And I believe that they have done so deliberately so that they can use their greater knowledge of Wikip processes to impose their viewpoint rather than actually arguing their case, e.g. by reporting me for edit warring.

So my polite request would be that you ask the other editor to also engage on the talk page. Czetie (talk) 09:32, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

@Czetie: You have clearly not made a reasonable effort, as you've repeatedly accused me of vandalism, using misleading edit summaries, edit warring, and removing well sourced, contextually relevant content that's sourced to reliable sources and shows significant coverage of the subject just because you don't like it. You're ignoring the standard practice of reverting to the WP:STATUSQUO during a dispute, and you've accused another long time editor of being me on another account. All of this is entirely inappropriate. Hey man im josh (talk) 10:20, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

CG Writer11, hello, I took a quick look at your draft, it seems you rely on a single source, such as WP:PRIMARY sources. What we also need are reliable sources, such as news articles that are third party, that don't have a connection to the subject, and are subject to rigorous fact-checking. See WP:RSPSS for a list of sources that can help tell you if a source you want to use is reliable or not. Hope this helps. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 02:37, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

Wicked poster removal

I don't know how to downsize for fair use. Please do it for me. That was the theatrical poster. The one on display says "This film is not yet rated" mine has that certification WickedFanAccount (talk) 02:18, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

WickedFanAccount Oh I see what you were doing. You could try doing a reverse image search for that poster and see if you can find a high quality image that way. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 02:21, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Tried that. Won't work. At least for now, we should use the one that has "Rated PG" instead of "This film is not yet rated" WickedFanAccount (talk) 02:24, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
WickedFanAccount Is there a source or something confirming the film is rated PG? If so, then you can use that one. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 02:25, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Yes. The MPA and all the trailers. This isn't something that needs to be sourced, however, it does get us closer to the "theatrical release" poster. Theatrical release posters should include rating certifications and billing blocks. The one on there currently has neither. WickedFanAccount (talk) 02:27, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
WickedFanAccount That's fine then, you can use the PG one. That makes the most sense to me. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 02:29, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Now we just need to find a digital high-quality version that includes the billing block. That would the TRUE "theatrical release" poster. Here's an example of someone who is selling a poster from theaters. WickedFanAccount (talk) 02:30, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Yeah now I fully get what you are doing, sorry about that, it looked like you were link-spamming earlier to a personal eBay page or something. I reverted my earlier warning from your user talk page. That one doesn't seem to have any film ratings on it though. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 02:37, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Yes, it does. To the left of the billing block. On the bottom. Like always. WickedFanAccount (talk) 02:40, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
Oh yes it does, I'm just blind. I see it now. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 02:41, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
I am an avid poster collecting fanatic. I won't buy it unless it's: original (not a reprint), has the rating certification from the MPA, and has a complete billing block. That is the TRUE poster for the movie, and it is legally required per contracts. WickedFanAccount (talk) 02:42, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

Question from Hardwork 234 (02:47, 10 November 2024)

If I make a small edit on something I know about is it okay if I do not site it all the time. If this is the case then how do I do this? --Hardwork 234 (talk) 02:47, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

Hello Hardwork 234, and welcome to Wikipedia! The thing is, we have a policy on original research. All claims have to be sourced in some way to reliable sources, to prove that the claim is real. We can't just assume you are who you say you are. We need sources to back up that claim. I saw your original edit, and I would highly recommend you revert it right now, at least until you find a source for that claim. You can see this page for our policy on original research. Sorry about that, and I hope it helps. Again, welcome! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 02:52, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
