- Can you take a look at these templates, and see what's wrong with them? When done correctly the should look like the templates on the EPL and Serie A page, but there's something wrong with them.

Image Licensing
editHi Siba,
I'm writing you because you speak Farsi.
I was wondering if you could check out the following two pictures from the Farsi Wikipedia and see what their license status is; I would like to use them for the article about Shapour Bakhtiar.
I've added the page to my watchlist, and I'll semi-protect it if the vandalism continues. Cheers, —Khoikhoi 20:45, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

editPlease look at Iran on Uncyclopedia. The article was just a piece of "Fahhashi" on Iran. I tried to change it. If you compare the version before my edits with pages of other countries like Germany and France ... you will see that Iran's page is written in a very bad way.
Example: 1. "It is the worst country in the world and should never be visited by anyone except wizards and Unicorns." 2. "Principal exports include wooden dowel, gay porn, frogurt, hollow chocolate bunnies and imitation Tiffany lampshades. Other exports include furbies and smallpox."
Do you see any humor in these sentences ? Just fahhashi!
It is not humorous. It's just a place to insult. Please help. Unfortunately very few Iranians are active on wikipedia. Pages on Iran have been written by those who hate Iran. Please help if you have time. Thanks. Sinooher 18:05, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Siba. Most sources I found for this person write the surname as "Moradiabadi", but you write "Moradi-Abadi" and the article title is "Moradi". Which is correct? -SpuriousQ 11:40, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

editJust to inform you the pages I am working on currently. As this is a sensitive issue, we need to help keeping it far from POV and attacks: History of neo-fundamentalist Islam in Iran, Religious Intellectualism in Iran and Religious traditionalism in Iran. The material has been cited line by line and mostly based on Iranian sources. The more people read and edit them, the better. Thanks. :-)Sina Kardar 16:21, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Move of Merhan Karimi Nasseri
editHi there. Please use the move function if you want to move an article, and don't use copy & paste. If you can't move the article to its new place because it already has a page history, ask an administrator (like me, I've fixed the move already :)) or use {{db-histmerge}} on the target article to get it deleted. You can then move the article in the normal way. --Conti|✉ 17:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Farsi Language Articles On Yu Darvish and Aria Jasuru Hasegawa Needed, Help !!!
editHi
Could you please help create and contribute to Farsi language articles on Yu Darvish and Aria Jasuru Hasegawa.
The size of the articles is not that important but as long as there is a basic Farsi language article linked to their English and Japanese Wikipedia article counterparts then that will be more than enough.
I would create these articles in Farsi myself but I not am fluent in Farsi, if you have any spare time could you create Farsi articles on Ali Elsamni and Osama Elsamni, thank you for your time and any help is appreciated.
Thank You In Advance

On Category: People from Mashhad
editDear Siba, I just noticed that the above-mentioned category is made by you and therefore should like to bring to your attention that you have incorrectly typed "Mashhad" as "Mashad". Could you please correct this shortcoming. Earlier I left a note with User_Talk:Sidatio about this problem so that s/he may do something about it; equally, however, s/he may do nothing. Kind regards, --BF 14:06, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
- Dear Siba, thank you very much for your kind note. I am really not back, but sometimes it is hard to resist the temptation of correcting an error (or at least what appears erroneous to me) or of adding a useful link — signs of an advanced and incurable form of addiction perhaps. I felt, and still feel, deeply insulted by some zealot of an editor deleting some of the valuable photographs that I had uploaded (without a previous warning or an indication of why these had to be deleted), such as a photograph of the Zoroastrian fire temple (Atashgadeh) of Tehran (a wonderfully beautiful building, which in some ways overshadows the fire temple of Yazd), a rude and inconsiderate act that I found almost sacrilegious. Actually, I had intended to write a proper biography for Ali-Akbar Dehkhoda, which I have, to my regret, now abandoned. Kind regards, --BF 07:00, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
I began this film article, but I've never seen the movie. If you care to check the page or help expand it, that would be appreciated.

About history merge
editHistory merges are required when the edits from a single article have been split up, perhaps by a cut-and-paste move. See WP:MOVE. This redirect has no history, and therefore does not need to be merged. You seem to be asking for deletion, and should tag redirects for speedy deletion using {{db-redirmisnomer}} if they're obviously useless. Other redirects should be posted on Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion for possible deletion. Cool Hand Luke 06:08, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. I'm sorry—I misunderstood what you wanted accomplished; I thought it was the reverse, that you thought the redirect title was so bad that it should be deleted. I'll move those pages now. In the future, the template you should use is {{subst:RMassist|Old page name|Requested name|Reason for move}}. See also WP:RM. Cool Hand Luke 18:22, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
The second sentence of the Cinema of Iran article states:
"Iranian films can be divided into two categories; the commercial films intended for a domestic audience and the festival films intended for art house audiences outside of Iran."
Is the above statement misleading?
I think of the Fajr Film Festival which is held within Iran, and I note that my friend in Sari, Iran, has seen every one of the so-called art house movies that I have seen here, outside of Iran. So for the article to say that these films are intended for audiences outside Iran seems incorrect. What do you say?

Dear Siba, firstly happy Nawruz! Secondly, some bored youths seem to have taken their chance to delete the entry concerning the above-mentioned film; I had not saved the initial version of the entry before someone tagged it for deletion. Reason: they cannot trace any mention of the film on Google! They seem not to wonder why on earth I should have created the entry if the film did not exist; they seem also unperturbed by the fact that I am not a new-comer to Wikipedia. In the event that you have seen the film, or at least have heard about it, you may wish to add your voice here: [3]. Kind regards, --BF 23:49, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

No content in Category:People from Piranshahr
editHello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:People from Piranshahr, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:People from Piranshahr has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:People from Piranshahr, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. You are now a Reviewer
editHello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
