I was working on the notability, but it's difficult to put it up in less than a second that getting a warning. I had my sources up there. I read the guide about my pages, and I was typing. you simply deleted it too swifty after my warning, which I was quickly responding to.

Tell you what... I'll restore the page to a personal userspace of yours to let you work on the article, and then try again. Jmlk17 10:06, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, Jmlk, I appreciate it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nmu bassmasta (talkcontribs) 10:12, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism?

I see my question was deleted without me actually receiving an answer. I still want to know what I was doing which could be classed as this "so called vandalism" on the Battle of Iwo Jima. It would also be handy to know what this "false" information was that you seem to think I was adding. Anybody can edit this website, don't you think that the information on nearly every page is false to a certain degree? Also, how can you claim it vandalism? I took this quote from Wikipedia:Vandalism: "Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Even harmful edits that are not explicitly made in bad faith are not considered vandalism".

-Trip Johnson —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trip Johnson (talkcontribs) 12:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

You labeled the battle as a Pyrrhic victory, when it was nothing less than a complete victory for the United States. A Pyrrhic victory means a military force wins the battle, but is so badly hurt or suffers horrendous casualties as to hinder or end their efforts to win the war. Iwo Jima was nothing of the sort. Perhaps not vandalism per-se, but still wrong. Jmlk17 21:34, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

This website is nothing but a propaganda machine in some areas. You said a Pyrrhic victory is a battle which causes so many losses it ends or hinders their efforts to win the war. Obviously you want a reference cited, so, taken from Wikipedia's definition of a Pyrrhic victory: "A Pyrrhic victory is a victory with devastating cost to the victor", taken from King Pyrrhus who actually won his war against the Romans. A Pyrrhic victory is nothing more than a victory with a heavy cost to the victor, and with 26,000 casualties I'd say that is a Pyrrhic victory any day. Take, for example, the Battle of Bunker Hill. Pyrrhic victory, but it didn't contribute to the surrender at Yorktown in any way shape or form.

-Trip —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trip Johnson (talkcontribs) 16:21, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

No, actually King Pryyhus LOST the war, because he had a Pyrrhic victory that depleted his forced so badly. That's where the term comes from. Jmlk17 23:15, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Beside the point, a Pyrrhic victory DOES NOT in any way, unless it is very very very heavy, contribute directly to a war's end result. I apologise for my incorrect statement on history, but still, I stand beside my point and I do not wish to start a public argument on your talk page.

Sounds good. :) Jmlk17 21:29, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Steven C. Parker deletion

Hey there. Just FYI, you got to this article a few moments before I was going to decline the speedy - a quick Google turned up that the fellow in question was on ER for ten episodes, in a fairly large role in the grand scheme of things. I've advised the creator of the page to find some good reliable sources to affirm that role, and suggested he be sure to cite properly before recreating the article. So, if you see it go blue again on your watchlist, you can blame me. Cheers! Tony Fox (arf!) 06:01, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good... thanks for the heads up! :) Jmlk17 06:06, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Any American who has ever listened to Men at Work knows "of" Vegemite, even if they don't know exactly what it is. Block

when you blocked User talk:58.170.160.249 I said it was cause s/he is a sock of the same continuous vandalism to the same pages. Would it help to get these blocked longer if we kept a record of the IPs...then again, s/he never uses the same IP address Ctjf83 talk 08:51, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, almost certainly. If a sock is hopping across IPs, it can sometimes be helpful to block a larger range to avoid further issues. Jmlk17 08:52, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok, so once i go through, what do i do with all the IPs? Make a page off my userpage and list them all and link admins to it to the vandalism notice board when i report one? Ctjf83 talk 09:01, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Arab Citizens of Israel Blocked

Hello, Jmlk17. Thank you for taking interest in the editing dispute over the infobox in Arab citizens of Israel. I am not sure whether or not I wrote my objections to blocking this article in the right place, as I am fairly new to the protection/unprotection business. Please tell me what I must do to properly file for a change in the article or its unprotection. Screen stalker (talk) 10:46, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Glad to help my friend. If I may suggest, try talking with the other editors on the talk page for the article. It seems as if some editors disagree with the article, and the best way to avoid conflicts is to reach a consensus with your fellow editors. Jmlk17 10:48, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

2007-08 Colorado Avalanche season

I see you are really the only one updating the game logs so I thought I'd let you know about a change I just made. I changed the color of the headers for each month to white, as the black made it sort of difficult to read. Just let me know what you think. Go Red Wings!. - Rjd0060 (talk) 21:46, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Nice... looks much better. Too bad it came from a Wings fan. Lol, teasing. Thanks for the change! :) Jmlk17 21:48, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
LOL, well you'll just have to settle. Don't worry, I like the Av's too. - Rjd0060 (talk) 21:50, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Now that's confusing... how can you like both? :) Jmlk17 21:50, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Thats what everybody says....Basically, I like the wings (they are the best team out there), but if they are not playing, and I see an Av's game versus somebody else, I root for them. So, I don't "hate" them, like I do St. Louis..... - Rjd0060 (talk) 22:38, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Lol, doesn't make any sense! I used to absolutely despise the Wings (still don't like them), but unfortunately the rivalry has died out a bit over the years. I prefer to dislike the Canucks, Flames, and Wild now... Northwest Division hatred style. :) Jmlk17 23:53, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
How about this: I don't like them, but I really really don't like the Blues and the B'hawks? You should like the wings...will avoid the sadness when 2008 Stanley Cup champions is created as a redirect. - Rjd0060 (talk) 00:23, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
<vomits> That would be a day of mourning... luckily, the playoffs are when Hasek enjoys choking. :) Tomorrow's game should be a good one as usual though! :) Jmlk17 00:26, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, I am worried about that. Hopefully the coach is smart when playoffs come around. We'll see what happens.. Rjd0060 (talk) 00:30, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Osgood's the man... he is doing so damn well this season too! I've just never liked Hasek whatsoever. You ever go to any games? Jmlk17 00:32, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Osgood sure is amazing this year, but I've always liked his game. Hasek, well <cough cough>. Glad he's "retiring" (again) and I look forward to hearing about Ozzie's contract extension, and hopefully he's the main GTender next season. Had season tickets the past 3 years straight and try to go to at least 3 games a month. Going to miss tomorrows game, but will go to the Feb 1st game, when hopefully we'll beat the Avs again. ;) - Rjd0060 (talk) 00:38, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Ugh... we're giving you guys Theodore tomorrow, so we'll see what happens. I had tickets to the game last week, but got sick and had to sell them off. I've always wanted to go to a game at Joe Louis sporting my best goalie in history jersey, but I'd end up getting heckled and harassed all game lol. Jmlk17 00:40, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, thats probably not a good idea. - Rjd0060 (talk) 00:42, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

regarding Vicus Evello

Hi,

I've recently posted a page regarding the environmental group Vicus Evello due to a problem that I have with the International Film Festival Rotterdam and this group itself (that's why the irony of my username). I have put a "hang on" flag but I was wondering why is it that is has been blocked... if it is because of the references, I've already change them although I cannot get to link the actual text of the page with the links of the references, but all the references are there. Could you help me understand this or, if it's easier for you, can you just edit the references so they can be linked with the text? Thanks and until the next time. Hey there. Unfortunately, the page was deleted due to a lack of notability. Jmlk17 01:13, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi again,

Why is this? They have a blog [2] and they certainly created a big problem for me when the Rotterdam Film Festival canceled a film that was due to be presented in its next edition because of them... How can this be changed? Regards, Vicusevello (talk) 01:19, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

A blog doesn't exactly do much, as anyone can create one at anytime. DO you have any other sources that could help establish notability? Jmlk17 05:09, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

You have deleted a page that I was trying to create to add to the Holland, MI page about emerging business. It said that their was no significance, how can you prove that? It is signifant to a number of things relating to Holland MI and now, it's completely gone. Sudden Jihad Syndrome

Why did you delete this page? And why are you protecting it from being created? --CltFn (talk) 12:26, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

I was actually considering doing the same thing, considering it's now been through AfDs on both Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sudden Jihad Syndrome and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sudden jihad syndrome, and still someone recreated it twice to redirect it (even though consensus was delete on both instead of redirecting), and now twice the fulltext of the article. --slakrtalk / 12:31, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
I ask that it be recreated , in view of the status of the topic having moved into main stream and is now mentioned in US government documentation. The article is fully cited and I see no reason why it cannot be recreated.--CltFn (talk) 12:42, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Both deletion debates centered around the article comprising of original research, the term being a neologism without widespread usage, the concept that Daniel Pipes contains no reference to the term, it has no neutral point of view to reference, and it is soapbox-y. As far as I can tell, all of the same concerns addressed in both articles continued to apply in the most recent incarnation. The government reference was uncited, and the deletion discussions didn't revolve around a state organization's use of the term but rather the loose patchwork of occasional mentions of the phrase to synthesize something to advance a position. You might consider deletion review if you feel that this is not the case. --slakrtalk / 13:03, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
I concur with Slakr. Jmlk17 23:13, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Powercorp deletion

Hello,

I am new to wikipedia and I was trying to figure out how to make links between the page I was creating and some other wikipedia pages that are already live.

The page in question that was deleted was Powercorp.

I was trying to link it to two other pages: 1. Flywheel energy storage - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flywheel_energy_storage 2. Wind-Diesel Hybrid Power Systems - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind-Diesel_Hybrid_Power_Systems

I was going to put more information about the PowerStore flywheel based energy storage system that they have developed that relates to the two links above but when I logged on again it had been deleted.

Is it possible to reinstate the page I was working on?

Browne Jacobson deletion

Hi - You have deleted an article i posted for Browne Jacobson - this is my second submission and have tried to review it inline with the wikipedia rules. I wondered if you could explain where i was going wrong - there are many law firms on wikipedia with very marketing / advertising centred pages and yet they seem to be ok, ours is more about the history of the firm so i dont get it!! - I appreciate your help on this. An example of another law firms page:

Hello Jmlk17, would you mind investigating the AfD above please? There's been a user removing tags and other people's comments from the AfD, and I've been reverting them; but I'm afraid that blocking them, if it did come to a block on the user, would be abuse of the admin tools on my part. I've warned the user, however, and they did create an attack page against another user. Can you please take a look? Thanks? Acalamari 22:04, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Of course, glad to help! :) Jmlk17 22:21, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Thank you! I'm always very careful of giving warnings about possible blocks to established users (in case it makes the situation worse), but the AfD edits, along with this, made me think it was best to issue a warning. I have the AfD watchlisted due to the socks, which made me spot those edits. Thank you again. Acalamari 22:33, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. I left a response on my talk page. It may help put things in better perspective for you. However if you are interested in taking a look at the issues I raised for yourself you will probably find that I am being accurate. If you have a method for me to e-mail you I will be happy to have my solicitor provide you with the information that I have been given that establishes the agenda of the editors I mentioned. I want to follow Wikipedia's dispute resolution policies but it won't be resolved by me addressing the issue with those editors.--Kingofmann (talk) 00:20, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
If you are leaning towards arbitration, that could help the issue. If all other options have been exhausted, we can always try that. Jmlk17 00:23, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Arbitration

As required by Wikipedia this is a notice that I have included you as a party in my request for arbitration [[3]]--Kingofmann (talk) 03:38, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Requesting Page Protection for my talk page

Could you provide page protection to my talk page as well. User Newguy34 is attempting to besmirch by character and is being harassing continuing to post on my talk page despite the arbitration request.--Kingofmann (talk) 16:26, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to have to do this here, but Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration is not a "blackout period" on discussing the matter, and this request has not been accepted. As can be seen on David's talk page, he has made a legal threat against me and has penned libelous, unsubstantiated claims about me. I have attempted to discuss this with him, but he refuses dispute resolution. Page protection of his talk page is unnesssary, as I have already informed him that I will respect his wishes on this matter. Newguy34 (talk) 18:22, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Article Deleted

Hi, I just posted an article about Tafari Jirani Theatre Company, it was delelted because articles posted about a group are not significant. I did do some research on here and found articles about toehr theatre company such as Actor's Express and Dad's Garage. Sajid Ali

Hi. I am not sure exactly why you deleted the article Sajid Ali. When it was deleted, it had just been vandalised, so maybe you did not remember that the original version of the article described a Pakistani cricketer. Playing for the Pakistani national cricket team is considered sufficient notability for an article, and is without doubt enough to avoid speedy deletion. I will restore a suitable version of the article - please let me know if I have missed something. Thanks! JPD (talk) 11:03, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

I suspect that RockerMFR changed to full protection because the semi-protection that I added a few minutes earlier wasn't good enough. A pile of sleeper accounts appeared shortly after I semi-protected the article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:49, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good... that's what I thought had happened. Thanks for the heads up! :) Jmlk17 07:51, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
My semi-protect is buried in the edit history because I kept reverting to the wrong version. I was having difficulty finding the non-vandalized version. Nothing like four tries to get it right. Sigh. As you can see from the protection log, its happened before (coincidentally it was me who stumbled upon it last time, too). I think there is some forum somewhere calling for the page along with Tetsuya Nomura to be vandalized. A huge pile of IPs show up and the fun starts. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:57, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, until you just recently posted the corresponding link, it was just a simple claim without any inherent source. Jmlk17 09:26, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
which would certainly justify removal from an article, but not from a talk page. after I asserted that it was not a joke, but an actual study, it was removed again without any attempt to verify.

I did so, due to a lack of notability and clarity. This is obviously not to say Black Sabbath isn't notable, but rather, the article is unnecessary and was nothing more than a jumble. Jmlk17 20:43, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Dear Jmlk17, my sincere thanks for your participation in my second request for adminship, which ended with 113 supports, 11 opposes, and 4 neutral. I would especially like to thank my admin coach and nominator, Rlevse and Ryan Postlethwaite who in addition to Ioeth all inspired me to run for a second candidacy. I would also like to make a special mention to Phoenix-wiki, Dihyrdogen Monoxide and OhanaUnited who all offered to do co-nominations, but I unfortunately had to decline. I had all these funny ideas that it would fail again, and I was prepared for the worst, but at least it showed that the community really does have something other places don't. Who would have though Gmail would have been so effective? 32 emails in one week! Advertising

Can you please tell me which parts of the last deleted page are considered as "blatant advertising"? From what I've read, it has to be shown that the company is notable enough to have a page on Wikipedia. It's impossible to simply mention some things to show such qualification such as the fact that the company is Australia's largest privately owned company, or the recognition it receives from well recognised Australian organisations in the industry, without inadvertently advertising through it. It follows the general outline of other companies which have their space on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aesmithwiki (talkcontribs) 03:12, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

It read(s) very much like a resume. Also, is the company notable? Jmlk17 03:17, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

It's the largest privately owned mechanical services company in Australia. There is a book being published about the company this year to celebrate its 110th year. Many landmark buildings in Australia are the clients of the company. It is also constantly in the newspaper as these new developments take place therefore well recognised by secondary sources. Seems to meet the criteria to be "notable" as defined by wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aesmithwiki (talkcontribs) 03:36, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

It has been restored to your personal sandbox located here. That'll let you work on it indefinitely to your liking, then, when you believe it to be reading for the public, you can easily transfer it to the articlespace. Best of luck! :) Jmlk17 03:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. I'll try to improve it in the meantime before it's loaded up properly to the public. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aesmithwiki (talkcontribs) 03:55, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Standings update

I don't even look to see if it was updated, I use my excel file to import the standings from ESPN and if I see it changed, I run my update macro and copy/paste over whatever data is there. History Question

Hello, Jmlk17. Tonight I nominated Erik Benjamin Bridge for speedy deletion. It's the first thing I've ever so nominated, and I wasn't even sure I'd done it right, but there it appeared on the CSD list. And then, quick as can be, you deleted it. (Thanks.) My question is this: My "contribution", namely, placing the speedy tag on the article, no longer appears in "My Contributions". From this I'm guessing then that contributions to deleted articles are no longer noted in the history; is that correct? I'm not complaining, I'm just seeing if I understand this correctly. Unschool (talk) 07:21, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

This also brings up another question then. I see people sometimes discuss the "great work" that people do with helping delete bad articles. If the record is deleted, how can anyone know? I've wondered the same thing about cleanup. I see people getting praise for helping clean up the backlog on Article needing Cleanup, but once you've cleaned up an article and remove the tag, there's no record that you did that work, is there? So how does someone realize who's doing all this work? Unschool (talk) 07:24, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey there! You're quite correct actually: when an article that you contributed to is deleted, your contributions are no longer listed under "my contributions". But if you click the link, there is a list (Talk | block | Block log | Logs | Deleted contributions)... click on "deleted contributions" to see it there now! Hope that helps, and, as always, happy editing! :) Jmlk17 07:26, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
It does suck a bit in regards to the "lost" edits. Admins are able to see the records of what pages looked like before their deletion, so it may stem from that. Jmlk17 07:27, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Bridge

I fail to understand how describing the location and details of a bridge constitutes "patent nonsense."

Please advise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackpumpkin76 (talkcontribs) 07:28, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

It seemed to me to be just a jumble of information. Jmlk17 07:34, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
The article described the location of the bridge and then quoted the inscription printed on it. Can you suggest a better way to present this information? I am new to contributing and welcome advice on how to be more effective in the future. Jackpumpkin76 (talk) 07:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
First off, let's start with asking if the bridge is notable. Jmlk17 07:42, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Based on the criteria described I can see that my article was not notable, so thank you for clarifying that. Was there any issue beyond notability?

I ask because "patent nonsense" refers to gibberish, not articles lacking notability. Jackpumpkin76 (talk) 07:50, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
The deletion reasoning may not have been completely solid on my part, but thank you for reading the link! :) Jmlk17 07:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

IP users removing afd notices

I recently added complaints about the IP user 194.29.98.144 194.29.97.144 (clearly the same user), who has been removing the afd notices for Danny Casteleyn and Alice Barré; I would request that rather than treating the two as seperate, you consider them together, as combined, they have removed afd notices four times, and it is frustrating having to repeatedly restore them. Also, when you say, "no final warning used", do you mean subst:uw-afd4? I didn't realise that I could use that, as the wording "This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits" states that the user will be banned, something that I can't personally assure as I am just an editor, not an admin... But I will use that warning all the same, as I'm sure that this will happen again. So that I don't waste your time again, how many times does it have to be done by the two IP addresses to actually merit a ban? Robotforaday (talk) 11:25, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, please don't see it as "wasting my time"! Just add the final warning to their usertalk, and if they remove the templates again, they will receive a block. :) Jmlk17 21:24, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Risk equalization

You deleted this article under the speedy deletion process. I dispute the delete. The article is about a subject of significant importance. It is just that the article has not yet been fully developed.

Please restore the article and I will provide more references and categories. I have already planted cross references in other articles to the Risk equalization article that now route to a blank article. --Tom (talk) 05:14, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Is there a delay for a reason? I've been all day waiting for this to be put back and now I have to wait another day it seems. The topic is a siginifcant issue in matters related to health care insurance in several countries and other countries it seems are adopting the idea.--Tom (talk) 01:04, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
After looking over the article, I am not entirely sure if it merits a page. If you still disagree, please try WP:DRV. Sorry for the delay. Jmlk17 01:06, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
This seems like madness. The article had only just been established and you have decided to delete it because YOU do not think it merits an article. And now I have to go appealing elsewhere to get it reinstated. I have put in quite a lot of effort to understand how risk equalization works having discovered that WP did not have an explanantion. I have determined that it is used in many countries health insurance systems (and also in common marketing ventures for soft fruits and milk) though my interest is primarily in Health. On what basis have you determined your decision? It seems fairly arbitrary to me. I feel inclined to challenge the basis of your decision rather than follow the route you have suggested for getting it back. I am an active editor here at WP... not a fly-by-night passer by who creates articles just for fun. Some of the many articles you have reinstated or edited seem much less worthy to my mind. This is an important concept that modifies the way markets work and aims to improve competition and fairness. It is well deserving of an article.--Tom (talk) 01:58, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
The page you referred me to says I have to raise this with you first in any case. I cannot see how some schools get a page here on WP but a system of insurance adjustment that afffects millions of people around the world does not warrant an entry. Please reconsider and restore the page you deleted.--Tom (talk) 22:14, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Understandable, and a good point. I have restored the page for your work and expansion. Happy editing! :) Jmlk17 01:33, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Commonspot page

Hi, I just noticed that you deleted the Commonspot page as "blatant advertising". I tried to create a page containing facts only, and not much promotion language at all, much like the pages of other proprietary CMSs (to stay on the subject). A few examples:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascade_Server http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Community_Server http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Documentum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FatWire http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immediacy

Could you please elaborate a bit on why you thought it was advertising, and blatant at that? For example is there a certain section that you found particularly offensive?

Please appreciate that an effort to keep the page factual was made. The content was taken from the company's site, but without the peacock terms or most other promotional language.

I would greatly appreciate some pointers on how to "de-advertise"! the page.

Regards Egerasimidis (talk) 00:18, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

I have restored the page, as you may be right about the notability of the company. My suggestion(s) would be to explain what the company has done notabilty, what they do, etc. Not so much emphasis on awards and such. Jmlk17 01:10, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Thanks for this, I will remove the awards if that seems offensive, I decided to include them only to show that the product is notable and has received some recognition to avoid having the page deleted straight away :)

I see a lot of other CMSs (proprietary and not) list product features, so I am planning to list a few of those, please let me know if that would be deemed offensive, otherwise please give me a day or two to sort the page out.

Could you please also tell me what is the process from now on, i.e. are you going to review the changes once again?

Thanks Egerasimidis (talk) 20:48, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

If you like, when you are satisfied with the article, I would be more than happy to check it out and review it for you! :) Jmlk17 01:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Thanks for all your help, it is much appreciated. I made several edits to the page and would be grateful if you could have a look and let me know what you think of it now.

As mentioned above the awards were only listed to prove the notability of the product, but that was questioned anyway; therefore I removed them completely. I added a few key features, some information about the latest release and a few more references, and I also "trimmed" the language a bit.

Protection of Kazakhstan

I'm not sure it needs indefinite semi-protection: maybe make it have an expiry period of 6 weeks, that should deal with it. It all depends on when Borat's in the public eye, but right now he doesn't seem to be. Thanks, --Solumeiras (talk) 19:55, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

I suppose, but when I checked the protection log for the page, it seems as if whenever the page has been unprotected over the last few months, it has been reprotected within a short time for the same issues. Jmlk17 01:35, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Rodhullandemu

I would like to express my pleasure at this comment, not because Rodhull is my nominee, but because I believe the comment was in the true spirit of Wikipedia and showed exceptional grace on your part.

Kudos to you. - Revolving Bugbear 17:53, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Kingofmann

This arbitration case has been dismissed and the final decision is available at the link above. The community can take care of this entire issue itself -- the article has been deleted and User:Kingofmann has departed wikipedia. RlevseTalk 21:55, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good... thank you for your time with the issue. Jmlk17 00:19, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Out-of-process speedy-deletion

Your speedy-deletion of IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDÆORVM was out-of-process. I trust this was an innocent oversight but the content was not the same as the version which was discussed and deleted in the RfD discussion. If you think that the new version is appropriate for deletion, a new RfD is required. Thanks. Rossami (talk) 23:20, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Crap... my mistake. Thanks for catching it! :) Jmlk17 23:30, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Chris Kearney

Just a friendly note about Chris Kearney. You deleted this article as a speedy A7, but there was a claim of notability (national high school record), and a quick gsearch shows this might be true. Perhaps this would have been better as a prod or AfD.--Fabrictramp (talk) 00:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm... I searched a bit as well, and actually found faster times than what the article claimed. Furthermore, the editing record of the user is just two vandalism edits, so I am a bit more inclined to see it as a junk article. Jmlk17 01:00, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Quite possible (which is why I'm not restoring it), but my point is that the claim is there, so it shouldn't have been speedied. (no biggie, really) :) --Fabrictramp (talk) 01:20, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Sounds good my friend. :) Jmlk17 01:21, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
