- thanks for your answer, but I like that name and I want to keep it, I'll try sth else, if it works I'll let you know, have a good day, Hope&Act3! (talk) 09:45, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Red-linked user name
editYour user name displays in red because you have not yet added anything to your user page at User:Hope&Act3!. Once you add something to the page, it will display in blue. – ukexpat (talk) 20:58, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes I can answer that one - see the link above - the lower case "p" is the key. Next question! – ukexpat (talk) 21:55, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

== Alternate account question == Thanks for the message. It is not a problem having an alternate account so long as the purpose of it is not to evade a block or a ban, and the other account is not used disruptively. Of course, neither of those apply in your case. I think you have a couple of options - first, abandon the previous account completely and never log into it and use it again, or, second, redirect the user page and user talk pages of that account to the user and user talk pages, respectively, of this account. I have an alternate account - User:Ukexpatmobile - that I use when accessing Wikipedia from a mobile device. I have redirected the user and user talk pages to the pages of the Ukexpat account. Hope this helps. Feel fee to ask again if you have any more questions. – ukexpat (talk) 18:47, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- I can add the redirect code for you, but it will delete the contents of the page, just leaving the redirect in place. Is that what you want? – ukexpat (talk) 19:20, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Leaving as is is fine. – ukexpat (talk) 19:47, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Your AIV report
editHey. You recently posted on WP:AIV about some offensive content in a page log. As far as I can tell, this has been deleted on English Wikipedia for some time. The file in question is File:Hip.jpg, yes? If you have any more questions, let me know. Ale_Jrbtalk 00:15, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
OK, no more questions, it's just fine, as you understood, I discovered it tonight in commons and since I didn't know how it was here I wanted to check with you, thanks again, --Hope&Act3! (talk) 00:41, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

depopulated villages
editPlease stop removing the word "Palestinian" from the articles on depopulated Palestinian villages. The name of the template does not give you any justification to do this. This has been attempted by others a number of times. Sources invariably refer to the people that were expelled from these villages as "Palestinians". nableezy - 16:53, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Stop doing this. If you wish to discuss whether or not the label is valid do it on the talk pages. But do please cease making such contentious edits. nableezy - 17:01, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. nableezy - 17:21, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello. I don't know what you think you're going to accomplish, but you're going about it the wrong way. Please discuss your changes on the articles' Talk pages, or start a centralized discussion at WT:PALESTINE. Continuing down this road will result in your being blocked. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:14, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Request reason:
I don't understand why you've blocked me, I was only modifying an inaccurate term, these villages were 'Arab' as described in the Infobox and I stated that in the modification log which I believe is the required civil behaviour, a dispute with Nableezy is never constructive and I prefer working positively on the articles, my aim on wp being to collaborate in an encyclopedia that offers free and reliable knowledge, I may be a bit naive since I am well aware of the ongoing battles on wp:en for the identity of the I/P territories but I try to keep out of it as much as possible, in that line I thought it was safe to stick to the previous decisions (if the Infobox states 'Arab' it is 'Arab' not 'Palestinian') I guess that I might have walked on s.b.'s toes which had in the past enjoyed peperring Palestinian all over but being new I am not aware of the full History and as I said I took the queue from the Infobox. Besides I intend now to request that the reference of the 'Palestinian' adjective as accurate be provided (I remind every one that the 1947 Partition decision was for a Jewish and an 'Arab' -not Palestinian- state) all the villages which were depopulated were inhabited by Arab and Bedouin and in some of them there were already Jews inhabitants, even the List of Arab villages depopulated .... I don't know by heart the full name of the list but nevertheless it does say 'Arab', not 'Palestinian'. This is really unfair to attack my editing when they are in accord with all these previous decisions (the Infobox and the List I'm sure were not named on a whim but after some concensus was reached) I don't know what else to say, thanks for taking the time, hopefully this message will be transfered I did not quite understand the preview unblocked here
Decline reason:
At the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents material referred to above, the blocking administrator, User:SarekOfVulcan said succinctly "Blocked 12 hours in an attempt to get more discussing and less reverting", and I think this was a sensible action. It seems as though someone needed to do something to turn your attention to discussions. 12 hours is not forever and it will give you time to become thoroughly familiar with the specific policies in this contentious area, particularly Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Palestine-Israel articles; I'm sure you will grasp that tensions run high in the area covered by your edits and that editors should proceed very carefully. I note that there is a suggestion in the AN/I material that you should consider acquiring a mentor and I think that's something you might consider; I suspect you will enjoy your contributions here more and be less stressed if you allow yourself to be guided by a more experienced editor. You seem anxious to contribute usefully and I hope you will do so in the future. Accounting4Taste:talk 19:50, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

- wow! the big words: vandalism !!!! me? warring!!! me??? saying that Hamas is a terrorist organization is vandalising and warring? As a matter of fact I believe that you are the one which has been warring around in the I-P fields, and you know very well that I'm not the only one.
- as far as I am concerned I am only trying to improve wp so that its content is more accurate, nothing I did is addressed in these guide lines:
:Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia.
- And for Hamas:
- The European Union,[1] Israel,[2] Japan,[3] Canada,[4] and the United States[5] classify Hamas as a terrorist organization.
- ...right out of the article! see I didn't make it up...
:Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. :Even harmful edits that are not explicitly made in bad faith are not vandalism. For example adding a controversial personal opinion to an article is not vandalism, although reinserting it despite multiple warnings can be disruptive (however, edits/reverts over a content dispute are never vandalism, see edit warring). Not all vandalism is obvious, nor are all massive or controversial changes vandalism. Careful thought may be needed to decide whether changes made are beneficial, detrimental but well-intended, or outright vandalism.
- I consider your warning to be a bad faith statement constituting an actual threat and a definite unfriendly gesture, expecting your excuses Hope&Act3! (talk) 20:45, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- I have restored your edit and have added sources for same. I have also issued RomaC a warning about referring to other good-faith edits as vandalism. Don't be intimidated. Happy editing--Jiujitsuguy (talk) 15:59, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi Hope, there had been two IP edits right before yours adding "terror" sorry if I incorrectly associated your reversion with those, and right the edit is not "vandalism" striking that. You might want to read WP:Terrorist, re words to avoid on Wikipedia, cheers RomaC TALK 01:34, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Geography of Israel issue
editPlease I need your help they destroy the article! They dont follow the source of CIA which everyone use it! the source says 22,072!! Please help I cant take control my my self of those 2 Pov'ers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.230.110.10 (talk) 11:06, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- shalom IP! I know there is a pb between those which speak of the actual Israel of today and those which insist that some bits should not be included since in an ideal and just world they will belong to an another state, in the mean time I guess they believe they are to be relegated in a store room on the moon maybe... IMO wp articles should not reflect dreams but facts. To which CIA data are you refering to? you must add the referenced Reliable Source and there should be no problem, if it's reverted then you can complain, first to who ever did it, if to no avail then turn to the relevant board, and if you don't know the proper procedure you can also ask for help, ok? keep in touch and let me know what you noticed in a detailed and precise way: I too am interested in improving wp, relax it's tough but no need to panick, follow the rules and no RS will be easy to reject, IPs too have rights -if you don't want to create an account it's fine-, first of all to edit in a constructive way, we are all busy and an additional partner is a welcomed boon, enjoy, Hope&Act3! editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. nableezy - 21:53, 7 August 2010 (UTC) 21:53, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Re: Sleeper account
editHi Hope&Act3! If you suspect that the account in question is a sock puppet of another account, you should make a report to WP:SPI. Be prepared to have evidence to back up any claims of sock puppetry. Naturally, you should also have an idea of who the puppetmaster is, otherwise it's not likely that the case will be acted upon. Cheers, Ynhockey (Talk) 18:50, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- I guess you didn't get my sarcasm. No, I am not actually a sleeper account. I was joking. The gap in editing history will probably come again. Hi! I am not very good at Hebrew (I learnt it at school but gave it up in year 9...), but I really want to let all the hebrew/Israeli/Jewish articles have a chance to flourish. I saw the work and imput you added to the "Jerusalem During The 2nd Temple Period" article (which btw I created), and I was wondering if you could get perhaps clean up this article that I have just translated from the Hebrew Wikipedia. Thanks :)--Coin945 (talk) 19:16, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:50, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
