2018-19 Scottish League One

edit

Hi mate. Hope all is good. Thanks for adding the attendance table for this seasons Scottish League Two. Any chance you could do the same for League One if you get a chance? CoatbridgeChancellor (talk) 01:58, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi, yeah I am planning on adding them add some point when I get a chance, just did the leagues I was most interested in first :) Also, about the references you removed from the League Two - I put them below the table so that it's easier to check each clubs stats, as the main ESPN reference is only for the overall stats.Boothy m (talk) 19:39, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sports bracket

edit

Hello, I saw your Scottish Cup edit from the other day and I had a wee question. Did we have a discussion in this before? I might be thinking about someone else here but I'm 100 per cent sure we did and I'm fairly certain we reached a consensus to not use sports brackets in tournaments where one wasn't used to determine the draw but I can't find it for the life me. I could be wrong which is why I wanted to ask about it and see if you were involved instead of just reverting your edit. Do you know where I could find this discussion?

Thanks Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 16:12, 14 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I don't recall any discussion about the bracket - and can't think where else I would have added it apart from the Scottish Cup. Maybe you're thinking about the draw numbers on Talk:2017–18 Scottish Cup?
I added it because I saw it on the FA Cup pages, plus it's on the UCL/UEL pages - all of which have an open draw. So if there is a consensus about the bracket then it's not being followed on other pages. Boothy m (talk) 18:59, 14 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
That's true. I hadn't noticed it on the FA Cup pages before, although I very rarely look at them.
I must be confusing you with someone else, I thought it was one of the Scottish Cup pages from maybe two or three seasons ago but I guess not. It would appear I've got the consensus wrong as well. Glad I asked first! Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 19:36, 14 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

2011–12 East of Scotland Football League moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, 2011–12 East of Scotland Football League, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, 2022–23 North Caledonian League. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – 2022–23 North Caledonian Football League. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2022–23 North Caledonian Football League. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Santiago Claudio (talk) 03:25, 28 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Revert of typo fix

Hey, you reverted my typo fix here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=North_Caledonian_Football_Association&oldid=prev&diff=1190798904 it took me a couple of read throughs to realise how my fix was wrong, but I do agree with you. I think it should actually be '2021/22' or even 'the 2021/22 season' for extra clarity.

Just to let you know I'm going to restore my version then add a new commit to fix the typo properly, this will keep the typo fix on COVID-19 as well as the minor whitespace cleanup. Jamesmcmahon0 (talk) 18:02, 20 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
