Was there some original version that actually had content instead of patent nonsense? I'll have to check the history but I'll say this. If it is posted again with legitimate content, then yes, I suggest AfD. If it gets posted with nonsense again, he gets a lovely vacation. If it gets posted under another similar name (I saw that they have at least one more account), then it'll get sent to the salt mines. Thanks you for the vigilance on the new pages! That's the third time I've deleted that page. The earlier two revisions were blatant attack pages, so there's no need to prod it. If you see it again, you can speedy it. Thanks for your continued vigilance! Cheers, CP 18:42, 20 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

League of Copyeditors roll call

edit
Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

Speedy deletion of Template:User financial aid

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:User financial aid requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 21:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

My tag was correct, this is not a recreation of another wiki project, it is just a lady jabbering in Dutch. Beach drifter (talk) 18:27, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The tag is confusing. I wish there was one for just non-english stuff as well. Beach drifter (talk) 18:33, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers

edit

Hi Amaryllis25,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
