Dinosaur sketches
editOld: 1995-1996
editHere are some dinosaur sketches I made in 1995-1996. I searched for them in the attic, dusted them off and scanned them because of the great lack of dinosaur images. There are also other drawings, but I only uploaded these, because the other ones are reproductions of copyrighted images. As I was like 12-13 years old, most of these old sketches have anatomical inaccuracies.
-
Classic late 20th century view on the fight between a theropod and a ceratopsid.
-
Dilophosaurus. The arms are too long and the tail is too flexed.
-
Deinonychus. The fingers are too short and no (proto)feathers are shown as these were not widely accepted in 1995.
-
Sauropod Mamenchisaurus, with 11 meter long neck.
-
Albertosaurus, anatomically incorrect.
-
Iguanodon bernissartensis in tetrapod pose.
New: 2006
editAfter encouragement of Firsfron and Dinoguy2 I made a few new sketches, that are, at least I hope so, anatomically more correct. More to come when I feel like it and have some time to spare.
-
Pachycephalosaurus with thick bony skull.
-
Parasaurolophus in tetrapod pose.
-
Suchomimus, a fish eating African spinosaurid.
-
Plateosaurus, a European prosauropod.
-
Chasmosaurus, a ceratopsid with large frill.
-
Acrocanthosaurus, a theropod from the mid-Cretaceous.
