This is one of the very good examples of why I do not like using one of the recording artists as the disambiguator. I originally created this article as "Young Love (1956 song)" but someone renamed it to "Young Love (Sonny James song)." Why pick Sonny James? The original version was recorded by Ric Cartey, the biggest hit was by Tab Hunter. Sonny James' version may have been almost as big a hit as Hunter's, and preceded it, but it was neither first nor biggest. -- BRG 20:31, 2 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

One of the things that I remember was that Sonny James had one of the few 2 sided hits with "Young Love" and this made it somewhat unique. Was the other side "Your the Reason I'm in Love"?

No it was "You're the Reason I'm In Love". (this is one of the very good examples of why I do not like .....) George Slivinsky (talk) 18:39, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Did she later become Carole Smith, the continuing co-writer with Sonny? Who wrote the melodies? George Slivinsky (talk) 17:59, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
