Missing References

edit

Large sections are totally unverified, entire paragraphs without any references. 94.252.107.93 (talk) 11:13, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not uncommon for an article as old as this (19 years and 10 months). Many articles were started back then with no sources cited. You can try to find and add reliable sources yourself, you can mark content that you think is in particular need of sourcing with {{Citation needed}}, or, if you think some content is very likely to be wrong, or not suitable for this article, you can remove it. Just be sure to provide a reason in the edit summary. As for eventually providing citations for everything in the article, we are all volunteers, and somebody will have to want to, and have the time to, find sources and add citations. This is a very broad tour de horizon of a huge subject. Generally references will be found at the many more detailed articles linked to from here, which isn't to say there should not be refs here. Johnbod (talk) 16:44, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
