Clc352 (talk) 17:24, 24 September 2017 (UTC)Interesting topic, however I feel there may need to be a citation for the benefits of hauling-out. Clc352 (talk) 17:24, 24 September 2017 (UTC)Would be interesting to expand on hauling-out behaviour in different species- their varying haul-out sites and differences in patterns. Clc352 (talk) 11:15, 18 October 2017 (UTC)I will be adding subsections concerning haul-out patterns in other species- weddell seals, walruses, and ringed seals. Clc352 (talk) 11:15, 18 October 2017 (UTC)I will be fixing the lead section so it appears more generalized and as an operational definition. The purpose of the subsections is to expand on the definition to illustrate different pinnipeds that all have different factors influencing their haul-out patterns.

editDevon Discher 201548328- (user: Deondischer) edit suggestions -Hauling-out is the behaviour associated with pinnipeds (true seals, sea lions, fur seals and walruses) temporarily leaving the water (Should say A behaviour, not the ). -Instead of being in the water, the pinnipeds explore sites on land or ice (explain why!) -When Talking about rookeries vs haul-out, should say ALTHOUGH instead of though. -At the end, when saying "such as not only reproduction etc., should remove Not only. Overall a good start, reads well so far. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeonDischer (talk • contribs) 23:18, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
